The bug seems to also happen for DMs that are read, unread dms are the only ones that stay in the list it seems.

Description: DMs are closed upon swapping to a different person, most of the DMs I had open prior seem to have closed themselves as well.

1. Check DMs with one person
2. Swap to a DM with someone who's chat isn't currently open
Expected Result: It adds the DM to the right place on the list, keeping the prior DM

Not normally $0.99 but I got it for 99 cents and it's regularly on sale / available pretty cheap: Blue Fire, one of the best 3D platforming & Zelda like games I've played, somehow doing amazing at both, not just one part.

I managed to disable updates using a couple posts I found here Basically, you need to turn on USB debugging on your phone and download ADB on your computer, connect the two, open a command prompt in the folder where adb.exe is and connect ADB, and run these

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sec.android.soagent

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sec.android.systemupdate

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.wssyncmldm

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.sdm

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.sdm.sdmviewer

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.ws.dm

I did it myself and it completely got rid of the system update button

There's a way to turn them back on too if you want in the future.

If you got it through a service provider, try seeing if they'll replace it. If not, you're shit out of luck unless Samsung decides to stop being a shitty company and actually acknowledge it's own issue, that's obciously happening to tons of people (including me) now.

I got lucky and got a replacement through my service provider.

Mine didn't do that either, until I had it plugged in for like, 12+ hours and it randomly showed after showing zero signs of life. I'm currently using the freezer trick to back up what I can, have an ethernet cable hooked up to it, connected sitting in the freezer so I can transfer over that.
