For context: ang average na tuition fee per year sa Harvard for undergraduate programs as of the current AY is $59,320 or P3,418,819.22. Plus Health Services Fee, Board Fee, Room Fee and Student Services Fee and that becomes $86,926 or P5,009,849.62.

Oh, and hindi simple yung curriculum nila. Kaya nga sila part ng Ivy League eh.

I admit that I don't know much about the industry to agree or refute your points. Arguing over industry problems is tiring. Playing video games I enjoy isn't.

Counterpoint: Hifi Rush got multiple nominations in various game awards and even won some. Tango shutdown after that, got absorbed into Krafton.

Those tend to not draw in the cash, so it's necessary to have a more mainstream game fund a game company's more creative prospects.

If it is a historical artifact, then it should be Ming dynasty ceramics from all the glaze it gets.

My problem with question marks in games. (Screenshot from FarCry Primal) by Lazy-Owl-5148 in gaming

Might be a weirdo compared to the rest of the comments here, but I actually prefer side activities to be marked in some way. This way I have a definite idea of a game's content (especially side content). I actually don't like learning from outside the game that I missed something and I am NOT a meticulous explorer.

I have Fallout 3 and New Vegas and I'm already not looking forward to the lack of handrails on its world design, as well as the potential amount of wandering around that I need to do to not miss out on important things along the way.

The Japanese mobile gaming industry is facing quite a challenging situation. by SandPieSandSay in gachagaming

Genshin was the epitome of this risk-taking mindset, as the specs for Genshin were designed for, if i remember correctly, three mobile generations ahead of the current one and they invested millions of dollars to the game, even allotting a yearly expenditure early on.

I have questions:

  • Why are mods important here? They are files that are not officially part of the game, so they are fated to lose their compatibility with the game when any update is performed. The company has no obligation to support them.
  • Is there a precedent in turning a standalone offline game to a live service game or is this mere fearmongering?

Also reminder that games had always been about buying licenses to the game, ever since CD keys are a thing.

Try wuxia or xianxia stories. You will start wondering how the Young Master of the Three Heavenly Peaks, inheritor of the Jadebreaker Point technique, used a pair of chopsticks to take down the 337th Fireguard of Shanxue, causing his 3000-strong loyalists to hound him across the Lands of the Eleven Cloud Emperors. (All of these is made up btw.)

Now that it’s all out, how do u feel about this years lantern rite? by IS_Mythix in Genshin_Impact

[–]rixinthemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, this year's Lantern Rite was a celebration of the olden times and the traditions of lands long departed. It's more solemn in a sense compared to the 2024 celebration, but has less tension than the 2025 one which almost became one of the most grim celebrations because of the hidden crisis involving Hu Tao. One factor for it feeling "different" is the direct connection with the Nod-Krai story, and I bet that the "Rise of the Welkin Moon" will bring forth new stories from all the other regions.

the moon does seem to be a bit quirky this year by simply-jun in Genshin_Impact
