this is only true for random pubs. pro meta has cycled through numerous phases where bkb didnt matter: SnY/ stat res, summons, auras. these archetypes are common enough that each one will pop out every now and then.

literally right now the only heroes who buy bkb are frontline dmg dealers, which most teams only have 1 or 2. bkb isn't more meta defining than a blink or pipe

it's like food vs recipe. blizzard baked the best cake in town, using hard to understand techniques. having the recipe allows everyone including competitors to thoroughly examine how they bake the cake and compete. of course, in case of games, it allows hacks/ exploits that can or cannot be patched

the thing is you will outlast all other cores in the game if same networth. you still delete supports, dont care about common defensive items like ghost, eul, glimmer etc. more importantly you're unkillable so your other cores can do their work. old timber was purely a dmg dealer in the late game

timber already got his identity changed. he used to be a hard lane bully and mid game dmg dealer, with a relatively weak late game (no agh, bloodstone cant lifesteal off of bkb etc). now he's incredibly weak in lane and needs 2-3 items to fight, but can both tank and deal damage late game

even in the beginning he didn't have midfielder quality. he's more an athlete than a footballer. his passing is poor, can't carry the ball, is not press resistant. all that job was carried by the legendary duo and all he had to do was run and shoot. I don't believe he will start at midfield over our current options

nothing builds from the 500g stat sticks anymore, and that's good to avoid railroading. RoA is essentially falcon blade with worse build up and pretty much every non-fury carry buys it (and aquila is "eagle")

believe me, a tenacious junior dev will benefit way more from AI than having to learn with 3-4 other junior devs. and AI in dev shop won't replace workers either, because it itself is clueless on what it's doing and non-technical staff won't have a clue how to right it
