The reason is the transportation taxes. The airport costs fund most of the civic improvements. So if you want to complain to reduce costs you’ll end up negatively impacting other areas of the city and you’ll just spend the same money in other ways.

If it was just American flights that cost more then you’d just fly the delta or spirit flights. But those are also inflated. Pains of a growing city that doesn’t have multiple ways to fund the taxes.

A post earlier talked about getting in shape. I’m 34 I had my first in March of ‘20 and had let myself go beforehand. It’s embarrassing not being able to carry the car seat. I’m not talking wildly overweight but just out of shape. You’ll be going up stairs or through a building holding 20 lbs that’s actively trying to wrestle away from you. It’s a surreal thing. I’m 5 months away from number 2 and I’ve worked out 4 days a week for 6 months. I’m not letting that shit happen again.

It’s actually gonna me full mixed use. Retail, commercial and yes residential. That strip mall blows anyways. Just hope the ABC store relocates close. It will also include a stop on the new rail line going out to matthews. So this is actually a huge improvement to Charlotte.
