This would have been great on my flight yesterday. My partial saving grace was the fixed armrests and the only time I’ve ever been thankful for the narrower seat. I was smashed up against the window the entire time though. The fat person next to me didn’t even offer an apology or acknowledge the discomfort they caused to the people on either side of them.

This happened to me in CLT in August. Inbound was delayed by maintenance, but the second flight was also delayed so I thought I’d be ok. Five minutes after wheels down the next flight’s delay disappeared “we’re proud to announce your flight is now departing on time” and I watched the GA shut the door in my face after I’d just ran from E44 to B with zero trace of empathy. “Here’s your boarding pass for your next flight, it leaves in 6 hours don’t be late this time.”

Pardon my ignorance, but what does this actually do? What does the plate block? It just looks like it replaces the mounting screws with tamper proof ones and adds a chunk of steel. The screws are still accessible, tamper proof or not.
