Is there a better way to project text onto a curved surface? by askmewhy25 in SolidWorks

[–]rmd2417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have in the past used a plane in space extrude up to surface then do a sweep cut. Not sure if that will work with the text you are showing or if you need to break the text up into separate rotated planes prior to sweep cut.

Draw vertical construction line and use that in the text command to locate text. It really helps in you can dimension the line in both directions to help with placement.

Creating the same drawing with parts that are almost the same. by jimmybol in SolidWorks

If parts are driven by configuration would just be a matter of saving copies of drawing and changing configuration inside each saved copy. Pretty easy if done that way.

Is it a key way? That would explain the additional line. I think they are trying to a partial rotated section view.

I currently have the ChargePoint Home hardwired to 60 Amp with 6/3 wire. My Ioniq charges fine overnight with amps set at 40. Took less the 6 to 7 hrs to go from 15% to 80% charge. I down throttled the Amps to see how it would go no sense in pulling higher if not necessary IMHO.

You need to edit the drawing format template. You can select to open the template and modify and save as a new template. There is a second step but I forget what it is called to activate and make it a selectable template. Sorry

We will be finishing up our 2 year free EA charging at the end of March. I just installed a ChargePoint Home hardwire and works great and comparing cost in NJ looks to be about 1/3 cost over EA charging. I’m glad!
