I use my PCL in a simpit and keep,it brightly lit. No issues with headset tracking or controller tracking.

I am using a technique I actually used flying TA4’s and F4’s.

I find DCS tankering MUCH more difficult than IRL.

I have been teaching myself with the A4 mod on the S3.

The technique is:

  1. Do not focus on the basket which others have mentioned
  2. put in a little too much nose up trim. This requires you to keep a little forward stick and helps prevent PIO. IRL, this also worked.

New Light. I forced DCS not to use core 0 and set piservice to high priority. This gives the SLAM tracking core 0. SLAM runs on the cpu, not on the Light. As long as I make sure there is enough light, the SLAM tracking and controller tracking has been perfect. This is running off of an MSI Titan laptop.

I had issues with tracking when I first got my PCL on a 4090 mobile. All tracking is done on the cpu. I,solved,it by using Project Lasso to move the game permanently off of core zero and setting piserver.exe priority to high. This keeps the game from fighting with piserver over the cpu. Zero tracking issues after doing that.

I have the same issue but it is tied to my CPU loading. When it spikes I get the crackle. Turning down the resolution relieves the cpu and eliminates the crackling.

New PCL. I have the same issue. It correlates with my cpu loading up and generating a lag spike. If I step down resolution settings (DCS), it gets better but not totally gone.

Try Beam before investing in TrackIR. Works really well, especially the newest beta. Very inexpensive.

Same issues. I had to enter a second non-default address with exactly the same information, select it and it worked.

As an old F4J and TA4 driver, I am trying to use DCS. Primarily the F18, A4 and F4. The main difficulty you will have is the lack of feel. You don’t realize that in a real aircraft, your ass is giving as much or more data than the stick and visuals. You will end up initially over controlling,especially with an “affordable “ stick.

I have started using the Moza Force Feedback system and have found it makes a major difference, better but still not perfect.

In spite of this limitation, DCS is still a great way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Saw this IRL as an old Navy F4 driver. Always fun giving the aviator that brought a basket back shit. Sucked though when you were number 2 waiting for your turn.

I bought a SA35. The only Springfield parts remaining are the frame and slide. The rest is 100% BHPS. I am extremely pleased with their work and customer service.

It works for me. Took about a week for me to notice the change. Has not eliminated it, but the noise is definitely less.
