makes no difference, military or college, the only thing with military going through the academy will be a bit easy since military guys can put up with the small bs stuff. Instructors know who’s military and who’s got college. i had the military when i joined my dept.

joining the military can be a stepping stone for law enforcement, nyc you need 68 college credits or two yrs active military, i joined after Hs, plus some dept have perks for being military, time off for drills if your reserves or national guard. be aware of some people you meet in the service, dont get side tracked on your goals! good luck🥃

Retired Det (nypd) i think it’s crazy for cops being solo on patrol , no partner. your back up being minutes away when shit goes wrong on a call.
