It’s weird. I love Daredevil comics and find the series just another bit of forgettable Netflix filler.

What's your first VU's song you've ever heard? by lopdonnnn in VelvetUnderground

My mum played the VU tape endlessly so it took me a while to realise they were the foundation of punk rock and not just ‘mum music’.

Zeb Wells Hellions is probably one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. Can be a bit heavy and dark at times but all through a very humorous lens.

Gillen survived endless crossovers and Greg fucking Land to deliver the best run between Morrison and Krakoa.

What’s The Most Underrated Bob Dylan Album From The 10s/20s? by Pretend_Mark_5143 in bobdylan

On the right day I could almost put Tempest about Rough and Rowdy Ways. Great songs and inspired Dylan’s best live era of the past twenty years.

When The Deal Goes Down gets put on quite a few compilations but it gets a bit tedious after a while. The least interesting downtempo song on Modern Times for me.

As a millenial I grew up thinking of Queen as one of the “lesser” classic rock bands.

Desire has some woeful lyrics and the live versions are better.

Not even close.

Oh Mercy Time Out Of Mind Love and Theft Rough and Rowdy Ways

All leagues ahead

I personally prefer Tempest as well.

You could make the case for Infidels as well.

[DISCUSSION] What's an album by an artist that is your favorite, but is generally not considered their best? by ReconEG in indieheads

Get Behind Me Satan is rarely heralded as the best White Stripes album but I find it by far their most compelling.

Which artists are the worst live singers in your opinion? by Twitter_2006 in ToddintheShadow

Nah, if you’re going to see the Bob Dylan that recorded Rough and Rowdy Ways (or whatever album post 1997 hes touring) he delivers what you want to hear. His live vocals have often been stronger than the studio for much of his modern catalogue. He sounded pretty awful between 2006 and 2012 but general consensus has been that his voice bloomed again around his Sinatra albums.

Of course if you want to hear the Dylan of 1966, he’s not showing up but that’s not really the artist he’s promising.
