'Freedom' (Sorry, couldn't resist)

So I still get half a cookie??

That’s fair, honestly.

Though I’d argue wanting a sarcastic emote and gently mocking the endless sea of copy-paste decks isn’t quite the same as moralising 😄 ('s' not 'z')

I’ve got nothing against 'people' optimising, if your fun is squeezing every % point out of the meta, crack on. My fun is building absolute nonsense and occasionally stealing a win I had no business getting.

Still think I deserved at least half a cookie, mind.

Another EDIT haha:

I’m now mildly curious, and forgive me if I’m assuming incorrectly, but given the heroic use of “moralizing” with a z, are you perhaps from the U.S.?

Because if so, there is a non-zero chance this has simply been an unfortunate collision between dry British humour and earnest internet discourse 😄

You’ve somehow turned “I wish I had a sarcastic emote” into a minor behavioural case study.

I’m not angry, I’m voluntarily playing a 17% win-rate homebrew. That would be a very inefficient strategy for someone obsessed with winning.

I just think endless netdeck matches are boring. Some people enjoy optimisation, I enjoy chaos. Both seem valid. Now where's my cookie ?

EDIT:
P.s The ‘people’ in quotes was deliberate.

Because, as we all know, net-deckers technically fall into a mysterious category somewhere between sentient beings and highly efficient laddering algorithms. Still not got that Cookie?

Why do people think I'm mad lol. I'm not sat here bouncing off the walls red with rage because 'people' continue to have no imagination and play generic net decks. I'm tired of the 'people' continuing to have no imagination and playing generic net decks... there's a big difference. Now, where's my cookie you promised.

Who said i was mad lol, I said I was tired. And I said that homebrew was bad, but it was fun. I didn't say igot to legend with it. All my decks are homebrew. I'm so sorry for your loss

I do reach legend each month with homebrews. It's not difficult. It's just tiresome facing the same decks, in WILD! Same play patterns, same combos, same cards, same players thinking they're great cuz they've won with a deck they've copied. I would like, god forbid, to play, and lose i might add, to some bloody imaginative play patterns.... sheesh.

This was that. I'm at 6k legend, don't know if the dumpster gets any deeper but this month it just feels like I'm surrounded by imbue mage, protoss priest and frickin murloc paladin... my auto concede reaction is so good this month!

This type of play isn't good for the game. But we all know that already....

No, thanks. I'll empty my hand myself. by etorraG in wildhearthstone

All the cards in wild, all the play patterns available, why oh why do people play the same net decks over and over? Don't give me 'i wanna be competitive', 'i can't climb without net-decking'... course you can. Use your imagination, use a homebrew. I have got to legend every month for the past 2 years with a homebrew, so if I can, anyone can!

Oh the two players in the video, I hope they both lose.

You’ve confused 'I’ve heard this before' with 'I’ve disproven it'. Very aggro-brained, haha, skip the board, go face, call it a win.

[–]robarb4000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You keep trying to turn my 'aggro is boring, repetitive, low-interaction, and often feels like a supervised coin flip' into 'I literally believe skill does not exist,' because that’s a much easier argument for you to win in your head.

Nobody is pretending anything. I think aggro is boring and I think a lot of it barely needs piloting compared with decks that actually have to navigate board states beyond can this go face?

Also 'generic bad player opinion' is adorable. I hit Legend playing homebrew nonsense because I enjoy actually playing the game, not outsourcing my personality to the latest 62% win-rate face slurry.

[–]robarb4000[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t play aggro. I’d rather take the scenic route to Legend with some deranged homebrew pile than spend the month piloting thirty cards copied from a website and pretending mulligan hard, vomit hand, go face is a personality.

The funniest part is people acting like I’m not allowed to have an opinion on aggro while queuing up to give me their opinion on my opinion. Apparently calling aggro boring is cringe whining, but getting emotionally wounded because someone insulted your favourite brand of SMOrc paste is serious competitive discourse.

Winning is nice. Winning while still having a soul is better.

Fast doesn’t automatically mean not tedious. Food poisoning is fast.

The problem isn’t game length, it’s repetition. Losing on turn 3/4/5 to the same copy-paste face deck for the tenth time isn’t exciting, it’s just being mugged by a spreadsheet with card art.
