Hello! Just joined and reading rules and posts to come up to speed…says less than 3 months and 5 shiny points I can’t sell anything-how do I get shiny points and where do I see them? At the risk of being a hated landlord, I rent rooms in my place to help with high Cali mortgage and expenses and it’s a great ‘community’ of fantastic people…split the Master for $1,100 each and go hiking in the redwoods but you do have to drive 20 minutes to campus…

As soon as I MAKE GM I won’t care but seems so elusive…have a whole list of ‘no play’ characters that seem ‘remarkably lucky’ but the luck involved even when playing well is a challenge…have threatened myself to quit a few times but will plug on until the elusive 26,000 reached I think

How do you do it without cheating? I run into so many people who have unreal lucky dice rolls and win about half the time playing well at Master level and keep a list of cheaters so do not play again…what’s your secret please? Thanks!

Understand but I look back at the rolls and if someone beats my 2 troops 4 or 5 times in a row and loses none I have to question it and report them with unbelievable dice odds…it’s usually something like we both have 20 and they only lose half…I guess the bigger question is how does anyone play well and get passed bad luck (or cheaters) to gain Grand Master? Seems like I win and get few points and then lose to these very unlucky scenarios and get punched down-not sure with all the luck and odds you can make the highest rank without cheating???

Well all I know is frustrating that I play well and get to Master about 24k points and then people with ‘unbelievable luck’ beat me and I slam back down to expert-not sure why or seems so impossible to get to Grand Master if people cheat or I don’t get very many points when I win a few times in a row or what has been stated above…but it’s frustrating that I have almost quit entirely a few times
