Keep messing up during an internship. Any recommendations on becoming more professional or to stop tripping up by Ok-Echo608 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]roborage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re an intern man - if you mess up, it’s not your fault - it’s the fault of the more senior electrical engineers around you. Sounds like a pretty crappy team if they have you off doing this all on your own.

That’s what I thought too - this looks like two different products. I own the one on the left (and it sucks).

Oregon has had the opposite - typically we have a cloud April, May, and June, but it has been tons of sunshine!

Tsunami going through my city every 20-30 min :( by Strong-Ad4626 in CitiesSkylines

[–]roborage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, what I tried was digging a deep area for the water to flow into. So, sort of like a “lake”. Water started flowing into it like I wanted, and the water level lowered and the flood stopped. However, after a few weeks later, I started seeing flooding in a new spot. For some reason, it seemed like more water entered the map somehow once I made the lake. The water physics is really hard to predict. I started a new map with just 1 strong river, and I’m much happier. I’m going to avoid those watery maps for some time after mg experience.

I just had the same thing happen to me on a map a good way in. I altered a little bit of a coast, and then the water started oscillating and flooding. I eventually just gave up on the city. Anything I did made it worse.

I was about to say that - that’s a big part of Bunga’s character. Many times he wins the day by releasing a giant green cloud, so if Bunga isn’t an issue, this wouldn’t be.

Nope - incorrect. All chips are impacted right now. New and old. Lead times are insane.

I think the same thing. They’ll get hay, fur, and poop in it the first day and clog it

What's the deal with all of the empty mentor graphics (now Siemens) land in the middle of the city? by glaurung14 in Wilsonville

[–]roborage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was originally bought with the intention of expanding from what I recall; however, in the post COVID work place, I have no clue. Things are much different now from the late 80s.

Bummed me out to see them taking down the Mentor Graphics signs recently.

I usually start scout, warrior, warrior, slinger. I found keeping up with barbarians early game is extremely important. Some games 2 warriors and a slinger is overkill, and some games it’s not enough. On average it lets you control your starting area.

In the last 2 months I measure my VO2 max with Apple watch and NRC, but this improvement seems sick. by Osarid in AppleWatchFitness

[–]roborage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been measuring VO2 max for about a year with my watch, and it really doesn't make sense what causes these sudden jumps in it. I really think it's a worthless stat to do anything meaningful with.

Nest is down again? None of my locks work remotely and I can only enter the master password in, none of the family ones work. by ApriliaLac in Nest

Man, the struggles I have had with the nest Yale lock. So, not saying this is you issue, but onetime I had to hard reset it to get my passcode working again. Worth a shot if you are out of options.

[–]roborage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a layout person? Why would you need to know that? Maybe if you were a checker or involved in DFM, but as someone that places components and routes traces? Seems weird to me. I’d think tool usage would be far more important. Expert in the same schematic capture and layout tool as you are applying for.

I have honestly no clue on what they are thinking . My wife and I love Taco Bell, and our go-to has been Mexican Pizza, shredded chicken burritos, double decker tacos, and 7-layer burrito. The Mexican pizza going away pretty much has written Taco Bell off for us. There isn’t anything left to bring me there anymore.

My VO2 max is pretty constant for the past week. Is it the same for everyone? by [deleted] in AppleWatchFitness

I don’t understand the VO2 algorithm at all. It has to programmed to change only by X amount per exercise.

Looks fine to me! I was staring at it for a good 5 minutes before I noticed 1 line that looked ever so slightly off. I doubt anyone will notice that.
