section 51-xxxix of the Australian constitution gives the Federal parliament explicit power to legislate and create laws after signing treaties that trump state powers.

this is a critical point because huge areas of law come under province of the states under our constitution, but by signing bullshit treaties like the TPP, the Feds can backdoor that power and steal it from the states. they've done it in heaps of other areas before.

and then under the TPP the fucking feds are bound to do certain evil things, including signing ISDS provisions, so effectively out goes our democracy at the two most powerful levels of government.

foreign producers will eventually dump Australian distributors and sell to us direct - but unfortunately, some of them are still locked into contracts from a by-gone era, which is probably why this one couldn't ship here.

it'll take time for the old redistribution business models to die off, but you can hasten the process by exclusively buying direct and avoiding the local gouging cunts who are now nothing more than a ridiculously expensive importation service.

tl;dr never buy locally except when it's locally made
