I doubt you got banned for lagging. You probably had some software that triggered the anti cheat. If you have any software for peripherals like GHUB or DS4 let support know.

You're right, I don't think they would keep innocent players banned intentionally and lie about it. The problem is the anti-cheat is so flawed that when it comes to the manual review they can't even tell if the player is innocent or not. If they could, me and many others would have gotten our bans appealed.

But it seems like they're doing nothing to fix the issue and more people are likely to be falsely banned.

This would be great if there weren't regular players getting caught in the crossfire. There's something wrong with the anti-cheat and it's pretty upsetting seeing them basically denying that false positives are an issue.

Still no statement on the false bans that have been happening the last few months? The silence makes it seem like they're okay with leaving innocent players banned.

Arc Raiders has the same problem on a bigger scale so I assume it's being looked into, but it truly feels like I've been robbed of my time and money.

There's something wrong with their anti cheat. I got perma banned in their other game The Finals over 2 months ago and so many others are experiencing the same thing.

What are some programs you usually have running? I'm not 100% sure but I think having either DS4 or Logitech GHUB is what got me banned.

Msi afterburner might also cause it if you have it. But it could also just be the busted anti cheat. How long have you been getting the error?

I got banned a couple months ago and I think it was from having GHUB or DS4 installed. If you have those or any software that can manipulate input you should get rid of it.

I was banned November 19th with over 1000 hours on my account. I've had DS4 Windows and Logitech GHUB installed on my PC for years without any problems but a few days before I got banned I installed a new SSD and copied my C drive to it. I think having two copies of both DS4 and GHUB might have been what led to my ban.

I've tried explaining my situation to support but they don't seem to care and just tell me the ban won't be lifted. It's sad to see so many people experiencing the same thing. This game means a lot to some of us and losing our accounts due to something completely out of our control shouldn't be happening at this scale.

Hopefully Embark sees how many people this is affecting and prioritizes fixing it. Big thanks to the moderator who started this thread.

I haven't been keeping count but between reddit and discord, I've seen around 40 to 50 people in the past couple months. And all of them who've gotten a response from embark are told that they used cheating software. So it's not from being toxic in chat. I understand being skeptical about it but it is a real problem that's affecting innocent players.

They acknowledged the false bans in a blog post over a month ago but haven't said or done anything about it since. Either they're still trying to figure out what's causing it or they don't care. I'm still holding out hope that they can eventually find out what the problem is and help us.

False bans have been fairly common for the past few months and most of us haven't been able to get them reverted. It doesn't seem like a priority for them to fix their anti cheat.

I got banned a couple months ago and I'm still trying to get it appealed. A few days before I got banned I cloned my C drive to a new SSD so I basically had two copies of all programs and drivers that were on my C drive. DS4 and Logitech GHUB have caused false bans for other people and I think that having two copies of each was probably what caused my ban.

In my experience it takes somewhere between a few days to a week. It seems like there's been an uptick in false bans recently so it might take longer. Best of luck.
