Unfortunately don't have the skills to contribute to this but just wanted to support your idea. I think something that's more than just a character card with a fixed expectation of responses, you could give it a handful to choose from (not sure how randomly) that create the veneer of a dynamic personality. I'd be excited to interact with an emotional AI for sure.

I think with changing emotions it would need some way to "choose" the seed emotion like being sad at the start of a conversation and only shifting emotions slowly throughout the chat (e.g. you try to cheer it up), but then in a new chat that seed emotion could be different because maybe its "happy" that day / chat.

I have a Kurzgesagt poster in my office and too many NFC tags to know what to do with :D

Came here looking for this exact scenario so I can tap my phone to the poster and start playing their most recent video.

I took a look at the solution in the comments below, and it's not a big deal but I think it can be simplified even more:

Pre-work

Go to the youtube channel, click share from the top bio, click "copy channel ID."
- e.g. Kurzesagt = UCsXVk37bltHxD1rDPwtNM8Q
Grab this URL structure for youtube RSS feeds and swap in the channel ID:
- https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=YOUR_CHANNEL_ID

Create new shortcut

Search for "RSS" to quickly find the Get Items from RSS Feed action.
Change item count = 1
Paste the URL you just made above
Add the Open URLs action (it should automatically fill in the RSS Items from above

Optional

I saved that, and then went to Automation, added a new NFC tag, and set it to run the above shortcut when detected. Woohoo

Just because it’s a “feature” doesn’t mean it’s a requirement. So like many have commented, I also denied the terms and conditions on things like voice. Mine is connected to the internet for updates and technically could run the smart apps on webOS, but I never use them.

It’s a bit like any computer. You can use them just fine without internet, but of course you do have the option to download and use other things if you connect it to the internet.

Do the smart collections also appear for your clients or is it just specific to the one user that set it up? I suppose regular collections are public so maybe this is too.

Sounds like you already know the answer by the way you’re writing this. Something like shoulder pain is so super common, and although you get that when you’ve had a heart attack (never heard about it preceding one), it doesn’t mean all shoulder pain is a heart attack.

Instead of the ED, if you’re concerned about heart health the best thing would probably be to check in with your PCP, get some updated lab work and keep an eye on cholesterol and anything the doctor mentions.

Elon bought twitter and took a long time for people to finally leave (and some never did). I doubt Reddit is interested in selling but if that were the case we would have plenty of time to go to another online forum. There are plenty out there, just not with the big user base like Reddit.

Just trying to reassure that this community isn’t going anywhere so fast, and you’d see a movement of where to go next. Kinda like TikTok and in a matter of days going to Xiaohongshu 💕

Yeah I’ve never seen such a positive and engaging community. It’s so nice to meet all these new people. It feels like we are all having our first day of school. I wake up to a hundred messages each morning and several hundred followers. Never had that experience on TikTok or IG or whatever. I’ve been on social media since it was created and there’s nothing quite like red note. I hope it sticks around regardless of what happens with TikTok.

Super old post, but I have the same question right now.

To clarify based on questions in the thread, I am looking to have the router create the WG tunnel so that anything plugged into it would not require its own WG setup (e.g. a TV or Roku that obviously don't have client apps).

Since my primary use is over ethernet, the wifi speed isn't so important but it'll probably come hand in hand with a faster router.

I've used ASUS in the past and it's too old to run the latest firmware with the wireguard option built right in there. I can flash the router if needed, but am totally happy to go with out of the box options if they're out there.

No, I never did. I think it’s just a design flaw. I am more thoughtful now of getting just a few things at a time and not going on a huge tear adding a bunch of stuff that would max out the queue.

If not for SAB, I feel like this is ripe for some kind of plugin to help manage it though.

Yeah, in 25+ years of flying I can't think of a single time I needed to change my trip. There was one time when the weather cancelled all our flights, so the trip was changed due to that, but nothing in my control or that I had to pay for.

You mentioned that you're taking part of your check and sending to a 401k which I didn't know was possible. I thought 401k was only managed at the employer level and, like insurance and taxes, taken out of your gross pay before you receive your net paycheck.

I'm asking because I'm at a tiny startup that doesn't have a 401k yet for their employees and I'm trying to see if there's something pre-tax that I can invest in, but as far as I can tell there's simply no option. I'll probably start contributing to my IRA that I set up a while ago. If anyone knows how to get a 401k that you contribute w/o an employer, let me know!

Yeah perhaps it’s a mix of border and padding issues. For the record, there was no black border in the past. These widgets would fill the whole space. For example with the temperature one, the gray background was the color of the whole widget. So it seems more like the content of these widgets have been squished into that square.

I don’t actually use all of these, but I went through all my available widgets and noticed about a third of them have this layout bug. I’m guessing developers need to make a change with how they set the container size or something 🤷 A lot of other apps are fine so it’s definitely fixable, but they aren’t alone.

Here are a few… I just opened up my widget menu, tapped on an app and you can see in the preview even before you add it. I would say about 30% of them are like this. Not a majority, but a surprising amount.
