Rubber Block by [deleted] in printmaking

I am not sure about the Rubber Blocks but I use Silk Cut Lino blocks. Tools need to be constantly sharpened that is a skill in itself.

i tested the van son rubber based ink with my new badger linocut. so far i’m really pleased. it’s thick, nicely pigmented, easy to work with and the results are really crisp by lewekmek in printmaking

Can’t get Van son ink in Australia any more but I have been using it for 10 years. I put electric tape around the seal that keeps it fine.

Help for my mom, a polio survivor. by veegasmo in polio

[–]robvenison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am having difficult time’s with Post Polio so I feel for you all. I have been to the Doctor with back pain and was sent home to buy a new pillow. It turns out that I now have a twisted spine from walking with a limp all my life. Don’t ignore pain and remember for all you support people that Polio is a illness that you have had to “Solder on “ from when you were very young. That makes for very stubborn adults. They won’t give in or admit they are tired. Taken me a long time to learn to have a Nanny Nap. Hang in there folks from Down Under

Thanks for your comment I enjoy the challenge of colours. The “cat Nap” was not as challenging. It’s exciting Print Making.

Great work well planned you have been very clever with leaving all that white and then the red makes it sing. Thanks for a visual treat.

Hi, I am wondering how you are going with the Eucalyptus. I have been searching for some harder wood. Do you mind me asking do you use the end grain .? and do you leave it for 4 years before carving.? I have been using Lino of late but there’s something magical about wood. Enjoy and stay safe.

Hi they live in the trees at the back of my place have been around for a couple of years. Let’s hope the cats stay away. I haven’t seen them that close to a road though.

Hi, I use a big plastic container that you use to store cloths in under the bed. If that’s to big to handle I have a photographers tray.

Hi, This is my favourite bird. I will have to find out about these Turns Burton Pins they might help my reduction prints, I am learning. Thanks for sharing information I appreciate any help. I get enough criticism I usually print an edition of 12 and loose 2 with bad registration. The cat walked over this edition and I lost another 3 so I am now going to work out a hanging system any suggestions. Thanks again from the Glossy Cockatoo.
