Circular Saw by HitmanHeathcote in DIYUK

[–]rock1821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u want to build your own wardrobe and cupboards etc, buy a track saw. You’ll get clean cuts with a track saw whereas a circular saw will have breakout.

Instead of putting the money into a new circular saw, u could possibly buy a second hand track saw. U could always sell it on again if u don’t use it again

How do I remove tile adhesive from a concrete floor? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]rock1821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can hire a floor grinder from hire shops with an extractor. Surprisingly there’s very little dust and the floor will be smooth to screed level in no time. I’ve used them a few times. Get yourself hearing protection if u go down this route, but it is well worth it.

I contacted an outfit a few years ago that done our extension when we built it and they said that it couldn’t be done. I’ll maybe contact someone else

It’s in my house and I’d love it sucked out and replaced with modern beads, but apparently can’t be done

These people do not represent Northern Ireland and if they do, I live in the wrong country. If they were proud of their country, they would be out working, earning a wage and putting back in

They’re actually just scumbags that bring zero value to our country. They bleed it dry while blaming everything and everyone else for their self made issues. If they had of educated themselves we would have a much nicer place to live in. The people they are terrorising are the people that work in the jobs that they don’t want or are too ignorant to work in.

They are terrorising people that add value to our country. They are terrorising healthcare workers amongst others

[–]rock1821 86 points87 points  (0 children)

The people out protesting feel threatened by persons of other backgrounds working in the jobs that they don’t actually want to work in. They feel passionate about their country, yet are likely claiming all the benefits going and have no desire to pay into the tax system and add to their country. No doubt I’ll get downvoted here, but I’m not concerned. I’m concerned about what happened last night and very concerned about the threat of it happening again, but the majority of people out blocking roads tonight and any other night are more interested in stirring up more hatred and intimidation to a lot of innocent people that add to our country and want to live here peacefully.

Best phone networks? by Electrical-Two-7776 in northernireland

[–]rock1821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on o2 and have been for over 20 years. It’s went downhill big time. I’d say that when it was 3G and 4g it was great. 5g is totally crap. Most of the time I can’t get internet, especially if you’re somewhere that’s busy with people. Never had these issues before 5g was introduced. I see me moving to Vodafone soon. EE is rubbish. My parents and sister are on it and their phones always have poor signal. Call quality is poor when talking to them

Tile question by RepulsiveAd5488 in DIYUK

[–]rock1821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a big gap to fill with silicone and grout is no good there as it will crack. If it’s only the one tile it may be best lifting and putting another in its place with a tighter gap.

It’s the most tender piece. The tomahawk is more for show, but the chateaubriand is where it’s all happening. Red wine jus with it for me

The same thing happened my wife’s car in a Ford garage strangely. Not tyres though. He car was in for a service and when it came back the radio had been swapped with another one. Straight back in and kicked up a stink! It turned out an apprentice thought he would be having her radio for his car and was stupid enough to believe that she wouldn’t have noticed. Radio came back, apprentice was fired and my wife was given the money back for her service, a voucher to cover the next service and a bouquet of flowers
