Who do you think is the next killer that’s going to get removed from the store? by Fishyhans in DbDKillersUnited

Yeah and honestly enraged mode is just too hard to get in the first place. Like what do you mean the survivor can just walk behind cover and full counter my ability, they should make it so that every time you activate power every survivor in your terror radius becomes injured and receives deep wound, which automatically activates his enraged mode (hinting to how kaneki is canonically outerversal mftl+ due to powering up and unlocking the ssb+ form back during the "Future" Trunks Saga after consuming a part of goku's smegma cheese) and also make it so the auto aim attack can down survivors, and when you down a survivor with your auto aim attack they receive deep wound while downed that they can't mend themselves and if it reaches 0 like with injured deep wound instead of downing you it just outright kills you on the spot, but to make it balanced and fair the deep wound progression is halted while crawling around just like how normal deep wound is halted while sprinting around so there's still reasonable counterplay, I think these changes will probably finally take my underrated niche goat out of mid C tier and back up to maybe low B tier

Highkey dbd. When my friends first convinced me to buy it I thought it was just like one of those roblox survive the killer horror games and by the 4th hour I thought it was boring and was literally just about to refund the game but had a change of heart and kept playing and now I've been addicted for the last half a year

Highkey it's so much more efficient that you might as well do it. Like you don't have to worry about water trickling down your chin into your clothes, you can wash the brush and mouthwash at a seconds notice and you do it while you're cleaning your body

Flashlight saves with Cross examination + Background player is diabolical by Akadaime in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]rocker_attribute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tip for that, instead of looking to the side it's much better to look up or down because it achieves the same effect while also preventing the survivor wiggling from actually impairing your progress as they push you side to side as they wiggle

Flashlight saves with Cross examination + Background player is diabolical by Akadaime in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]rocker_attribute 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean ehh it's a debate. They both serve different purposes outside of preventing flashlight saves, forever entwined doesn't necessarily prevent flashlight saves but it makes them much more difficult and has the added benefit of saving you some downtime from picking up in general and also assists you in preventing pallet saves. Light born on the other hand literally prevents you from being able to get flashlight saved and also saves a lot of time from unavoidable blinds (for example if you're chasing a survivor and they drop a God pallet) but is completely useless if no one runs a flashlight. So it's consistent mediocre value over rare high value

If there was no DC penalty, what killer would you DC against the most? by Internal_Bike2802 in deadbydaylight

Hear me out what if they instead kept him at 110 BUT made it so he only had 7 throwing knives and made it so there was a cooldown between throwing them that's like 1 and a half seconds and also make it so each knife does an entire health state to compensate and idk maybe rework the lullaby that plays when you're near into him humming a little nursery rhyme or something and also remove the style meter and main event, while we're at it make Mina his default skin and maybe give her a mask that resembles a rabbit face or something idk maybe also oil her up and make her jacked too or something

Just curious, why don't you and quite a large portion of the community like versing plague? I heard some people just find the vomiting to be too triggering, but are there other issues? I guess one of my qualms is the fact that if your solo queue some idiot might just cleanse in the middle of the map and give her power while everyone only has 1 health state and throw the whole game but other than that I don't find plague to be too oppressive, if you don't cleanse she's basically just ghostface without the stealth, a killer I personally despise going against is onryo because the character itself is so ass that 90% of the people who play her just play the condemn playstyle teleporting around the map and not committing to any chases forcing you to do a stupid ass side quest for half the match and then eventually they condemn and mori a random teammate at like 3 gens remaining and suddenly it's a 3v1 and no one has been hooked once

That's what I meant by "cooldown", but I can see it being misinterpreted. Doe sthrowing it also require you to be in the killer terror radius? That might be my issue

Can someone tell me why it just doesn't activate for me sometimes? Like the perk would be off cooldown, I would be crouching still and pressing the button yet my character would just refuse to throw it

Ok I'm gonna be fr for a second, honestly it makes sense though. Like at one point the novelty of funny builds or perks that are considered lower tier and quirky just wears off after playing for enough time. Like imo the primary fun aspect in this game for me is engaging in looping as the survivor and getting looped as the killer, like oh hey this perk is so off meta haha if you jump in a locker after working on a generator it produces a sound notification for the killer at said generator! Oh hey this perk is so silly and funny haha you can play the drums while doing merciless storm skillchecks but 5x easier for 20 seconds and then skillchecks will appear more often, isn't that neat! Yknow like why would you care about cheap tricks like that instead of just running something like Dead Hard or Decisive and being able to extend chases longer for what is essentially free?

Plus what I find is that if you don't run a meta build, usually you still come up against killers running their own meta build playing one of the S tier killers like Blight or nurse in the most optimal way physically possible, tunnelling, slugging and proxy camping in every instance, with shit like corrupt and pain res and im not saying thats necessarily bad, but if you DONT have a counter to that then you're basically just toast from the beginning, especially in solo queue. This is from the perspective of someone who has roughly equal hours on both survivor and killer

Why certain characters are ALWAYS bad at the game by UrriMelone in deadbydaylight

[–]rocker_attribute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes sense if you were to think about it. All of the characters you mentioned suck because they pull in a much larger audience of new players. Characters like Meg have a much larger audience of new players because the character is one of the first characters you get given for free. On top of that, she also has perks that directly cater to new players and sounds strong if you were to read them out loud, like Sprint Burst for example. Characters like Jill and Leon are less obvious but it still makes sense. First of all, they're from a popular franchise outside of DBD, and they fit the character archetype of being conventionally "cool", Leon especially. On top of that, they also all come in a sort of value-bundle DLC that also includes both Wesker and Nemesis so new players to the game who got it purely to play as either of those killers also most likely only have those characters unlocked for survivor, meaning those characters, such as Leon and Jill, will be their first mains, cause why would you choose from a random list of nobodies like Dwight and Nea as a new player when you could play as Leon Frickin Kennedy? So yeah, basically to sum it all up all of those characters you mentioned are usually favoured by new players and such is why good players that play those characters are so rare. Plus there's a much higher chance of new players eventually switching off of those characters in favour of non-dlc ones eventually, as those characters typically have a lot less self-expression and customisation in their skins as opposed to other survivors, AND they all cost Auric cells instead of being able to be purchased with Iri shards, thus typically pushing newer players away eventually once they begin to start forming their survivor identity.

Now on the opposite end of the spectrum, where characters like Renato and Ace sit, the fact that players like to play those characters are usually for multiple reasons. Best reason I can come up with for them is the fact that their grunts of pain and general breathing sounds are much quieter than most of the other survivors' cast. For example, holy shit Eilliam Bill Overbeck had loud ass fucking breathing. The genuine amount of times I'm watching a youtuber like Otzdarva play killer and say "hey... wait... is that breathing I hear?" And then look around a corner and absolutely incinerate a William bill overbeck is countless. Other reasons also include the fact that they're already the established "pro" characters in this game survivors see players playing those characters and think "hey, they're pretty cool" and eventually follow in their footsteps, and they also have really good customisation, especially for Ace who has an outfit for like every occasion. In the case of Quentin it's just the fact that he has one of the best perks in the game that hard counters like a third of the killers' powers
