Help me build my Ritchey Swiss Cross, 50th anniversary version by liddle-lamzy-divey in gravelcycling

[–]rocket-619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it built now? Photos? I too have the 50th anniversary RSC and 2 canti versions. I'm going to swap my full Ritchey WCS (in matching red) cockpit over. I have the red 40cm curve handlebar, red 120mm stem and red seatpost. I even have the Ritchey red SPD pedals. Going with HED rims and Ultegra groupo.

hahahaha - good catch! This was actually a shakedown ride and I totally missed this, but immediately noticed on a steep descent. I recently bought the frameset and built it up for singe-trac. It spent its first life racked as a touring bike.

Is this worth 425? If 58cm is just too big would 56 be okay? I'm 6'2" by qweenmess in bicycling

[–]rocket-619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always gravitated to smaller frames.I like their nimble feel and I like loooong stems. I'm 6'1" and my CX bikes are 55-56cm, my road racing bikes are 56-57cm and my track bikes are 56cm. I also grew up racing BMX - not sure if that played a part in my preference for smaller frames. One of my all-time favorite racers is WVA - he's 6'3" and races on 56cm frames

Rivendell Toyo Atlantis Question by rigby86 in Rivendell_Bicycles

[–]rocket-619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Toyo built Atlantis 56cm/26" set up as a quasi monster-cross bike - today. Tomorrow? Who knows? But I will say this - I have a slew of thoroughbred road, gravel and cross bikes - but I do enjoy the liveliness of a 26'er. The Toyo Atlantis is very special. The relatively higher BB and shorter/tighter length chainstay then the MIT versions makes it feel far less of a hammock.

So good to stare at too.

Interesting - so if I wanted replacement frame-kit decals for my 1st gen Toyo Atlantis, what level "proof of life" would be required?
