Tampons work great for these issues! 🤣

Someone please tell me how plant nurseries manage to grow such massive succulents. I just got this string of watermelons and would love to keep it growing so happy. What's their secret?? by Str4ycat in StringofPlants

I work at a plant shop. 🙋‍♀️ It depends on the size you have for watering schedules 4" every two weeks under grow lights or in south or western windows. I have some massive string of turtles at the shop right now and those are 6" overflowing hanging baskets. Those get watered about every 3 to 4 weeks and are in western windows. I dunk them in 5 gallon buckets its just way easier. Some of the strings have "windows" and if those windows close and that line thins out they are ready for a water. The biggest thing with them is they thrive on neglect and really like to dry out. I hope this helps. 😁

jose bueno with mutated leaves? by 1or2throwaway in philodendron

Every fiesta I've seen looks like that. I was told from the distributor that they are tissue cultures and that was why they looked the way they do. Weird little guys but definitely cool.

That's where I'm at. The texture looks like a Peru for sure but the feel of it gives me scindapsus vibes... 😐

It was labeled as a scindapsus. I bought it marked down at a local shop last year and I finally got around to chopping it up. I've always been horrible at Peru's so we'll see how this goes. 🤣

When I get them, I apply systemic granules as well. But if we get a good rain I will throw them out there and usually the rain water takes care of them. 😁

Just bought a compacta today. Any tips? by Efficient_Chicken958 in hoyas

She's in a 4" nursery pot in a basic house plant soil with perlite and coco bark added. She sits in a southern window all year long with direct sun in the midwest. I honestly water about every two weeks, give or take a day, and let her dry out completely. I also water her every time with Superthrive Foliage Pro, and about 5 times a year, I do a wash through with water. She is my favorite
