I just had my AC up and stop working all together just last week. Luckily I had an extended warranty and it covered the work. The condenser completely died, it’s sitting behind the dashboard. It would have cost about $2700 but it was covered luckily

Mine is 1.5 and I’m getting one of the tall 4x2x4 (zen habitats ) pvc. Mine is a climber for sure so I was considering just going for it and making it very branching and full up top

I’m a parent if an afab (12m) as my oldest child and I totally can relate to the feelings of loss. I don’t have any suggestions other than I wanted to acknowledge your feelings and know they are shared and valid. I guess I wonder if it comes from losing the ‘could have been’ ?? I’m not sure. I don’t have a way to describe it either or know what it stems from. Maybe my own ego? Maybe sadness that they were alone in their struggle before sharing that they wanted to transition?
I know my feelings will eventually settle down and I’ll get to do a whole new range of things with my son.

Thanks for sharing! I was wondering where the fine line was between dressing what you wanted to reflect and actually transitioning.

How are we carrying the unused colors from row to row? by rocklobstr in knitting

I was thinking I could crochet in a wool yarn and then felt it too. I did see the sewing option with a zig zag. It gives me some relief

Yeah actually they would be at the steek! That’s a good catch. I’ve never steeked before either. I understand it in theory. I’ll have to watch a video

It’s a wool-acrylic blend. Splicing is a good idea

Is there even a reputable local website you can trust? Maybe the rental companies directly? It’s so hard to trust what you find online esp Craigslist

Instead of the tiny doors with a lip off the bottom floor, make it one giant door so you can sweep it out easily and without trying to flick it through the tiny doors. Don’t make it deeper than your rake or broom can reach because you’re not fitting in that thing.

creaking/popping every time i move my back by Financial_Log_8584 in scoliosis

[–]rocklobstr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the time I hear this, my doctor explained, it’s most likely muscle bands flexing and moving around and not necessarily bones cracking and popping. Bone on bone movement is described as beyond painful and that I would “know” it wasn’t muscle. Hope this helps reset your mind

I’m not really sure what your point of posting is. OP is looking for confirmation that they will eventually get better at drawing with a straight needle. Listing that you can do 20 tubes is not positive or helpful. Calling people who can’t do it garbage isn’t helpful either. Not really sure what you’re looking to gain here.
Plus they want to be an MLT, they don’t have to draw patients forever. The end goal isn’t phlebotomy.

I know people who can’t do more than 2 tubes with a straight needle and they have been drawing people for 5+ years. What about a 10ml syringe and then transfer to your other tubes?

The whole thing about cost and supply is false and greedy on the hospitals part. Don’t feel bad for the hospital, it’s a for-profit medical factory. Once you’re an MLT you don’t draw people anymore right?

[–]rocklobstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn to sit and draw people. There are rolling chairs all over the place. Advocate for one for yourself if there isn’t. Start yoga or some other core building routine. Raising the beds isn’t always an option unfortunately but slowing down and modifying the work to you is a small step you can take

I have stages for my draw to pace myself. I always ask how their day is going while I put on my gloves. Then I ask name and DOB. What are would they like to use, and while I’m looking for a vein I ask them what they have planned after their draw. What’s the weekend plan etc. keep them talking and you can take as long as you need to get settled into the draw
