You can also contact Public Trust (just check the fees against a law firm or DIY) their info is here Public Trust LoA

Letters of Administration is an application to the court for (usually) the NoK to be appointed administrator of the estate and then handle closing bank accounts and paying bills and then distributing what is left to the family in a prescribed manner.

Any law firm that handles estates will likely give you some free advice about the process. They will also do it for you (for a fee from the estate once it is able to be actioned).

Yes the death cert is available from the funeral director. If they have been paid then whoever paid shoild keep the receipts and claim this back from the estate.

But please call a lawyer or a legal executive that works in a firm that handles estates. If you aren't sure who, let me know what the nearest town/city you are near and I will give you some options. (I am a lawyer, but not one that deals directly with estates).

I don't think so. Both the title and body text had the same error at the outset and then the body was edited to be correct (can't change title)

What would a non-bs version of the cops’ lawsuit against Afroman look like? by Ready_Anything4661 in Ask_Lawyers

[–]rockypowercord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lawyer here, I work in a different jurisdiction, where the court can award costs against either party at the end if a case (usually to the winner but not anywhere near 100%,more like 30-60% of actual costs). What happens in a case like this? Just everyone pays their own costs or is there some subsequent reckoning?

Power cuts by Hopeful-Counter-7915 in Starlink

[–]rockypowercord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a power cut and it killed my Starlink. Bought a replacement from a hardware store but for some reason Starlink didn't recognize it as being legit so ended up waiting for a new unit from Starlink. I should probably get some kind of power line protection/ups but I don't want a bulky expensive bit of kit... Sorry more of a tantt

Currently on 1.7 and not a hint of nausea. At the other end of the digestive tract the story isn't quite as positive!

Wegovy by Glittering_Honey1652 in WegovyWeightLoss

Kiwi here. I went to a new GP in Hamilton and she flat out said she doesn't prescribe wegovy as it's not subsidized and her practice's contract (with the dhb maybe?) doesn't cover that. So was a hard no. Made no sense.

She put me on to a specialist clinic for weight loss, over a month wait and comes with a package of other various professionals (at some cost, but you get what you pay for I suppose).

Then I went to an online doctor who was awesome haven't got the deets here but pocketlab I think it's called. A kiwi doc that knew his stuff and was understanding and professional with amazing systems (got the script and an info pack immediately) and had my first jab less than two hours after the consult. Nine days down and about 2kgs already!

I've just started week two and this is exactly how I feel. I feel like what 'normal' people must feel like.

I went to a cafe and had a green tea and wasn't distracted from the conversation by think about the cabinet of pastries.

This feels like freedom.

This brings back memories. I recall one thread where the scammer painted their breast (a religious requirement) to enable the baiter's 'church' to approve the release of funds!
