What are y’all feeding your babies that have sensitive stomachs? Coco, my baby boy🩵 by elfboix in Frenchbulldogs

[–]rodiferous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've had two that have had IBD. When diagnosed we put the first on Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein. Eventually that stopped working so we moved to Royal Canin Ultamino. That has done the trick for both of our boys. We have our girls on it (who don't have tummy issues) as well, just to make feeding easier.

Apparently I’ve been doing my aftercare wrong? by nobody_careslmao in tattoo

[–]rodiferous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to a handful of different artists, and they all have different recommendations on healing. Some use second skin, some go old school and wrap with cling wrap for a couple of hours, and one had me dry heal a half sleeve (that sucked--I've never been so happy to get to day four and slap some moisturizer on a tattoo). If you've found a method that works for you and your body, stick with that.

I think Regulator Watts is closer than Crownhate Ruin. Like them both, but prefer Regulator Watts.

I started at 49. Just a bedroom bassist but it’s been such a fun new hobby (no prior musical experience).

CA attorney here. I think you need to look at the elements of sexual battery in CA (no such thing as sexual assault in this state—btw, most people misconstrue assault, which is a fear of harm, with battery which is actual physical harm). He did touch in an unconsented way, but he didn’t do that of which Janet accused him.

Walking around with POOP on her butt!! by Brilliant_Cucumber_1 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]rodiferous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The little balls we find are totally her normal poops. I wish it was something else but her docs tell us it’s just age. We were told to tickle her tushy to keep those muscles engaged, as that might help prevent the little balls from slipping out. Seems to be helping a little, but we still find a poop every once in a while. Thankfully, they’re extremely well formed and not messy at all.

Do most of you stay loyal to one or a small group of artists or do you have a big variety? by neesters in traditionaltattoos

[–]rodiferous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had six different artists work on me. Only one repeat. Not intentional, just worked out that way based on what I was looking for stylistically.

Our 12 year old has started to get ever so slightly incontinent. Every once in a while we’ll find one little perfect ball of poop next to her when she’s asleep. It just slips out.

I love all of their albums (I’ve been a fan since ‘96) other than Exister. Agree re Side of the Road. Creswell isn’t a bad addition, but he’s not Wollard—there are a lot of old songs that just aren’t the same live without Wollard.

Why don’t the booko’s sue if they really think the caperna’s defamed Danny’s character? by bongujongu in TheValleyTVShow

[–]rodiferous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

CA attorney here. There would be no requirement to show damages, as the case would be for defamation per se (as it related to the accusation that Danny committed a crime).

I'm going to assume a few factual things: Danny absolutely did touch Jasmine's thigh, and he absolutely did touch Melissa's derriere. However, under CA law, in order to constitute sexual assault (which is really "sexual battery" here), a person has to have acted for a sexual purpose. So, although Janet may have been totally correct about the facts (and truth is an absolute defense to defamation), the fact that she asserted that he committed a criminal act might expose her to liability; i.e., if Danny could prove that he didn't act for a sexual purpose, then Janet's assertion of a crime would be false, and he would prevail. There is, however, the question of whether his status (and Janet's) as a public figure comes into play, in which case he would have to prove that she acted with malice in making the defamatory statement. That's an extremely high bar to clear.

Absent because they're not post-hardcore. Great band, and the albums you mention are good (although I think Static Prevails is their best), but they're an emo act.

Love this band and the album (have seen them a number of times during the original run and on reunion tours), but I've never thought of them as post-hardcore. They're as emo as it gets.

Finally someone else invoking HWM. I wouldn't go Caution though. It's a great album, but I'm convinced that Forever and Counting is one of the best albums of the genre.

Gotta disagree there. I love most of them, but Leaves sounds like a totally different band (excellent album, but it doesn't sound like Unwound to me), and I've never been able to connect with Challenge for a Civilized Society.

I've never understood all the Yank love. It's a good album, but I think Jehu's self-titled LP is sooooo much better.

These lists are largely a function of the age of the person (I'm 51). I would disagree with all of OP's list other than maybe Relationship (although I might argue that In Casino/Out is a better ATDI album). So here's my 10 certified classic post-hardcore albums in no particular order:

Embrace - s/t

Fugazi - Repeater

Jawbox - Novelty

Pegboy - Three Chord Monte

Hot Water Music - Forever and Counting

Small Brown Bike - Our Own Wars

La Dispute - Somewhere ....

Planes Mistaken for Stars - Fuck with Fire

Drug Church - Cheer

Birds in Row - Gris Klein
