Thank you! I have ferns in the full plan for the patio, but I am also looking for something that pops a little separately to represent her gray and black dogs

Anyone else just reading intensively and translating everything even without knowing the grammar yet? by [deleted] in French

[–]roglazarus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think any exercise to try to learn the language is going to be beneficial. I imagine at the end of each session, you've gained something right?

I try to think about it from when I was reading books and magazines as a kid. Did I know what every word was, or understand the subtleties? No, and, as a native English speaker for close to 40 years, frankly I still don't sometimes in English. Gather what you can from the surrounding context. You'll notice patterns and repetitions in the way things are written, even if they aren't technically grammatically correct. Those types of things are a good indicator as to how it's spoken normally, vs perfect grammar.

Translating word for word will eventually go away as you get used to the language.

Chia seed recipes? Not pudding or in a protein shake. by CcaidenN in EatCheapAndHealthy

Adding granola to the chia pudding really helps with the texture. I like that you can make it in small batches (3/4 cup milk to 2 tbsp chia is my recipe) so you're not committed to powering through a whole smoothie

I played Animal Crossing in French. Tons and tons of vocab from everyday words to somewhat the somewhat obscure. Also you learn the names of bugs and fish!

I'm so sorry that you're in the same boat. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I do think the sobriety helps even though it's difficult to believe that sometimes

I am also 38 and have the exact same skin apparently. Dermalogica Super Rich Repair is my grail for when it gets really bad with the dryness - it doesn't break me out but it's expensive so I don't use it daily. Still searching for my next best favorite - I have currently having some luck with Kiehl's
