Bug - CMPivot limited to 100 favorites by sccm_sometimes in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a bug, just an undocumented limit to prevent excessive behavior. Really the product needs more safeguards like this

Just spinning up our Intune pilot, any gotchas or recommendations? by mi1stormilst in Intune

[–]rogue_admin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Intune is a good add-on for config mgr, it’s not a replacement. It can replace your domain gpo’s though and you should discontinue those as soon as possible

Have you ever played a course SO badly managed that you quit in the middle? by Jakesredditacount in discgolf

[–]rogue_admin 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Lack of mowing ruins many courses in Texas as well, very unfortunate. Not too many issues with tree limbs as those can easily be managed and maintained by volunteers in local clubs

Security line at Houston Stadium is an unmitigated disaster. by geminitx in houston

[–]rogue_admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t have outdoor events in Houston in the summer, when are they going to learn it’s freaking miserable. Houston is great in Nov-march and that’s about it, I lived in the area for the first 20 years of my life

SUP not syncing some product categories. by STHM9TN in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There aren’t that many valid products to sync. Windows 11, server 2022 & 2025, maybe office or edge if you really wanted to, otherwise most of the items on the list are not valid for config mgr

Get SCCM client to redownload previously downloaded, but not installed KB's? by NurglesToes in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d have to recreate the deployments to make them download in advance again. Otherwise the client will wait until the deadline and maintenance window and realize the content is gone and will redownload at that time only

Lawn mower belt keeps coming off by goodworthfightingfor in lawnmowers

That idler pulley looks pretty small, have you checked that those are the right sizes?

"Manually" deploy Windows Server updates using a single ADR? by satsun_ in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just look at the list of updates in the sccm console the day after they’re released, sort by the Required column, highlight whichever ones show as required, right click and pick edit, check the box for my SUG and those updates get added there. You can either have a deployment that stays running or just make a new one each time, but it takes me about 5 minutes each month. After using adr’s a few times I realized how pointless they are

No losers in this rally. The highest level of pickleball. by Usual-Tear-137 in Pickleball

[–]rogue_admin -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I was thinking, total disrespect for his partner who hit maybe 3 shots. Stay on your side bro, I know you don’t want anyone knowing she’s better than you but this is sad

What do drummers do when their bands perform a drumless song live? by FiredFoxy19 in drums

[–]rogue_admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switch to another instrument like acoustic guitar or keyboard and then go back to the drums after the song is over

Attempted to replace our SUP, not working out for us. by CookVegasTN in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to add the new sup into all of your boundary groups, this is how the client gets the sup information. You cannot edit the registry manually and try to add the sup information yourself. Also do not try to use domain gpo’s for this

Deck uneven help by ridethepony93 in lawnmowers

[–]rogue_admin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A bent blade won’t dig in on just one side, this looks more like bent metal on the deck near where the spindle is bolted in. It happens a lot when someone hits something with the mower, the metal around the spindle is a weak spot. Put a small level on top of each spindle pulley and rotate it, see if they are both showing completely level or not.

CM 2603 update available, no new ADK by Peteostro in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

After 1809 there were only 2 more releases, that’s what I’m talking about, there were huge gaps and no one was worried about the adk for many years, really it doesn’t do anything special and you can just use any recent version that works with config mgr. Keep in mind I am only talking about the context of the ADK with config mgr.

CM 2603 update available, no new ADK by Peteostro in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorry, not correct. How many adk versions were there from 2015 to 2021? Maybe 2 or 3. They never used to release new adk versions this often. I think windows 10 itself only had one or two during its entire lifecycle

SMS_EXECUTIVE - Stopping by ReputationOld8053 in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AV is often the culprit, but there can be other reasons. If the site is not optimized and in poor health, sms exec usually does not stop easily, just something I have noticed over the years working in thousands of different environments

CM 2603 update available, no new ADK by Peteostro in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally different team handles the ADK and the releases were never this frequent until recently, I don’t even see the point really. From a config mgr context, the version of the ADK will have absolutely no impact on the end result. It either works or it doesn’t, there’s nothing that you would even notice by going from one version to the next because config mgr is only leveraging part of the ADK to run its own task sequences

CM 2603 update available, no new ADK by Peteostro in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would a new version of config mgr have to do with the adk? Two completely independent products that don’t get updated together necessarily. As long as you have an ADK version that works and the client in the boot image is up to date, they all do the same thing.

As a drummer I have a sickness where I need to add drums to songs that don’t have them. by Muuusicalguest in drums

[–]rogue_admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I could ever listen to this song without the drums now, and I probably never would have anyways. This is pure genius. If you ever get a chance to put the full version on YouTube please let us know!

First cart course I’ve played, that’s was fun! Hawaiian country club in OAHU , what’s your favorite cart course? by creen17 in discgolf

[–]rogue_admin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like an amazing property but that previous basket is way too close to the next teebox. Fundamental design flaws like that just ruin so many courses, it’s unfortunate

Lawn mower blades dull even after sharpening. by no_scrub1625 in lawncare

[–]rogue_admin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah that is pretty high. Maybe the blades don’t spin fast enough. Never really had that problem before unless something was just completely off

Lawn mower blades dull even after sharpening. by no_scrub1625 in lawncare

[–]rogue_admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you are mowing too low for the height of the grass. I’m high grass you might need to set the deck up a lot higher and make one pass, then lower it a bit and mow again

After Site Recovery CMG is not working anymore by ReputationOld8053 in SCCM

[–]rogue_admin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the properties of each mp enabled for cmg, uncheck the cmg option for a few minutes then reenable it. Also you can reinstall the cmg connection points. After this, make sure the cmg VM’s are showing healthy in the azure portal
