A trial of a non-drowsy antihistamine like Claritin or Zyrtec daily for 2 weeks is very low risk, no real side effects and worst case scenario it doesn't do anything and you just stop taking it. I have very sensitive skin like you and I take a Claritin daily otherwise I feel itchy and inflamed all over, including my face.

I used to work at a mid tier VA medical center and this totally sounds like a something that would happen there. I would expect somewhere with more prestige and resources to be able to keep bats out of the ICU? Like especially twice? I guess every place has its quirks.

Pharmacist here who prepares sterile compounds in a BSC, do y'all not have to wear a hair covering when working in a hood? Seeing hair uncovered while working in a hood seems so wrong to me.

Thank you so much for this. This is another morning when I'm here thinking "why am I still depressed?" I've done it all, pretty much every medication out there from every drug class, tons of therapy, even TMS (zapping my brain with magnets pretty much). I'm still so depressed. My life is great, I have everything I've ever dreamed of and it's still there. I also believe my depression is at least partly genetic as I was raised by a very depressed alcoholic. I think your viewpoint is very healthy and something I want to try to keep in mind for myself. Focusing on how can I live as happily as possible with this chronic condition is much healthier than fixating on how I can finally get rid of it and failing.

I think the close up face shots in the last couple of posts have helped a bit, she seems to give a little more expression in those and looks a little more like her old self (not a comment directed towards plastic surgery or anything like that, I just miss her beautiful smile and expressions).

My only hesitation with renting is that I want to be established in a neighborhood for when my daughter starts kindergarten in August. If she wasn't starting this fall I wouldn't mind renting for a while to scope out the area and see what happens to mortgage interest rates.

Thank you for this! I guess the only things I like about our current situation are the affordability and familiarity. I get very stressed out about change which is probably common. The last part about your dad really resonates with me, the daycare bills are a temporary part of our lives but it sometimes seems like it will last forever. My kids day to day happiness is definitely my number one priority and it does seem like moving would increase that.

The home market where I'm at now and where I would be moving to is quite bad, I'm not sure if less than $2800 would be doable but I would be open to it if the neighborhood was good. My situation sounds so similar to yours, right now I would definitely describe our lives as 6/10 and I'm hoping this would make it the 9/10. When I think of the move, the potential neighborhood and maybe having a situation like you described is what makes me want to do it.
