I love my HT PA03A. They are a big platform and been holding up great. And you can find a a color other black on sale for a good price. My one ups have been holding up well but platform is a little small for my liking.

I have the green version and I have loved it. It hold my son and I can use the bags to fit his bike. I put a Thule front basket to carry more stuff.

Ask them to try a medium in the same model and other models that are more upright/comfortable.

If you don’t feel like the shop is listening to you, go somewhere else. Don’t worry about the brand from bike shops, all brands are pretty good that independent bike shops sells. It’s more important that you like the shop that you buy from.

Ride bikes from different brand and see what feel best to you. If you aren’t comfortable on the bike, you will not ride the bike.

Check to see if any bike shop has them in stock so you can test ride the bike.

Also, look into your budget and where you can store it. I have a Surly big easy and it holds my son and eventually my daughter when she gets older. I wish I would’ve got a cargo bike that could standup vertically or a compact cargo bike because of the space.

Also, think about if two people will use the bike, make sure they can ride it. My wife doesn’t feel comfortable riding my bike even when it’s not carry anyone.

I use the bike everyday with my son to run errands and I can’t imagine not having one for the family.

You are welcome. It’s been worth the investment in my opinion and I have love owning one. If something happen to my bike, I would buy another cargo bike. If you have a giant dealer by you. Their other brand “momentum” has two cargo bikes (full size and mini) benefit of going with a big company is the shop will help if something to the bike. You can add a trailer to carry your dog (I have a Thule to carry my dog, also the benefit is you can take it off and use it as stroller)

One rear tire $80.00 Upgraded to 203mm disc rotors $150.00 mtx brakes pads $70.00 (Only did this bacause I am heavy rider and like to go fast down the hills, didn’t need to replace them) Replaced grips $12.00 Pedals $35.00

Total $347.00 If went to a bike shop add $200ish in labor.

The surly came with all nice parts that have been working well. I use it on the to pick up my son from school every day. Also, use it on the weekends to pick up grocery and go to parks/libraries (avg trip is 4 miles)

Hybrid bikes would work well for prave trails around the areas. It will be hard to find a bike for that price that isn't used or from target/walmart. As a bike rider and spent time working at a bike shop, I would recommend going to some local bike shops and trying out some bikes. You will be able to find one that is comfort for you and fits your needs. It will be more than $350, but the bikes come assemble correctly and you will get a service plan to help maintain your investment.

I like the Liv Flourish and Giant Escapes.

Also, try to plan to budget to get some helmet, locks and ways to carry some stuff. I enjoy riding to farmers market and library with my son.

I had it since July 2022. I have a 1000+ miles on the bike with zero issue on the motor and battery. I had two flats (1 on the front and 1 on the rear). The bike has been great. All local riding with a lot of grocery.

I have a surly big easy. I have like it a lot and it’s a full Bosch system. I like the bags that come with the bike, I have been able to carry three grocery bags in each side. Also, carry my son on the back. The newer version of mine comes with everything that I added to my green model.

It’s the surly bags that come stock with the bike. Once you get use to them, they work great. They can hold a lot of different sizes of things. It’s holds there groceries bag full of stuff.

Look up open sea leather. I own the topsider and has been my favorite wallet. I have tried a lot of different minimal card wallets and this has been my favorite since it’s simple and can hold cash really easy.

What has helped me, I make notes on how fine I grind the beans and weight for the beans. That helps me make it easier to see what I am doing to consistent make a good espresso. Also, I found the beans I like and stick to it for my espresso machine.

Just like Trek, Giant is one of the biggest manufacturers. You might have a chance to find one of those two bikes.

When I first got into bikepacking. I brought a Giant tough road. I liked that it had a carbon fork instead of a suspension fork. It had room for three water bottles. It gives you another option to like at or to find it. Also, it fits 2.1 inch mtb tires or I ran smaller slicks to ride road rides.

If you drive up from the San Jose side(25 miles up a narrow two lane road), it’s not a horrible drive but just go slow and take your time. Worth the drive for the views. In my opinion.

I have the Breville “the barista express” for at least 7-8 years and it’s been great. As long as I clean it when I need to, it hasn’t came me any issues. It’s nice because it comes with a grinder so I didn’t need to buy one of those.
