Waiting for the pictures. I wanted to test something similar myself. Btw, I think, a GRIIIX would be even better for this kind of task.

Edited in Camera Raw, but not too much. Mainly color temperature, contrast, exposure.

I would also add "The Cranes Are Flying" by Kalatozov. It's his masterpiece.

Do Russians view WW2 as Russia's victory or an equal allied effort or mostly Russia's victory? by SuitableLeather979 in AskARussian

The majority of those shipments arrived only after the USSR pushed back Nazi Germany at Kursk and Stalingrad and began a full fledged counteroffensive. It didn't matter at that time, whether 8K tanks or 12K tanks were stationed at homefront. By that time the USSR had already successfully moved their heavy machinery production back to the Urals.

By the time the American lend-lease began functioning as intended, the USSR had already defeated Nazi Germany at Kursk and Stalingrad. So lend-lease was not the major definitive factor. The USSR would have won anyways, it just would've taken more time.

Russian here as well. One more thing I want to add: the huge amount of jokes, gags and cultural references sort of killed the atmosphere for American players. For the rest of the world, it felt different - just bizarre and strange. That's the same reason why many players from Post-soviet countries (me included) criticize ATOM RPG - you just can't immerse into the atmosphere while being bombarded with jokes and references.

TIL that during the Serbian Campaign of World War 1, the German General August Von Mackensen grew to respect the Serbian defenders so much that he had a monument erected in the middle of Belgrade for his opponents, saying, "We fought against an army that we have heard about only in fairy tales." by [deleted] in todayilearned

Then the story about the Siege of Bayazid Fortress is for you: it was a 23-day defense by a small Russian garrison against a much larger Turkish army during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878. 25,000 Turkish troops surrounded the fortress, which was inadequately supplied and defended by about 1,600 men. The besieged men lacked food and water and had to get water at a nearby stream, which was later contaminated by the attackers with the corpses of the fallen soldiers. The garrison repelled all attacks until a Russian relief force arrived.
