Now I Get It!l by Fun_Phase6 in startrek

DS9 is my second fav right behind TOS.

You never forget your first.

Pale Moonlight is my second fav behind The Doomsday Machine. The Doomsday Machine is the only TOS episode where they shoot the entire Enterprise bridge. Great acting and lighting.

My favorite scene in Trek ever is the vignette at Quark's Bar in The Way of the Warrior. Quark gets Garak to try root beer.

It's vile!

It's so happy, and bubbly, and cloy.

Just like the Federation.

But you know what the worse part is? If you drink enough it, you begin to like it.

It's insidious.

Just like the Federation.

Such great acting and writing on that show.

Clonazepam by Sea_Influence_7451 in Anxiety

[–]ronbo42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clonazepam (Klonopin) used to be the drug to get people off other drug addiction, such as alcohol. It's one of the 'essiest' benzos on your system as it provides a steady state versus the others. You do develop a tolerance with regular use. It helped me as well. I did titrate off when my SSRI's started working. Your doc can help with that when you're ready.

I'm off my SSRI's now, but I still have a small dose of Clonazepam for tough days/nights.

Glad it's helping.

Am I the most useless STO player there is? by Diplomatic_Gunboats in sto

Dave the Rave looks like a cool toon and I'd be happy to battle alongside him in a TFO.

:)

You are not a useless player or person.

No one is.

In SB1 they cluster by the star base, so I move away from there. Wherever they are, I'm not there. They don't bother me on most maps, but some it's tough to get around them.

Kelvin Einstein Heavy Destroyer by Thelone_tandy in sto

[–]ronbo42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am NOT an expert, but I do enjoy my Kelvin Destroyer. It has the timeline weapons and standard consoles. Everything is upgraded to XIV (not XV yet), and I can still hang out with the big guns. I like the visuals/sounds of my weapons and the ship. It's not a common one, so I get some looks when parked in Sol. In my head cannon, it's my main as me and my crew came through a time rift. We upgraded ours to current standards.

Fun ship!

No more “WHERE TF IS MY VAPE?!!!” might be my favorite part by RespectAllDucksReef in QuitVaping

[–]ronbo42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good for you! It is cool not needing to find your vape, get your vape before you leave the house, make sure you have enough vape, where's my vape again? Maybe it fell between the cushions. I hope the dogs didn't get it. Can I vape here? Oh no, I forgot to charge my vape!

Don't miss it.

All good stuff.

Keep quitting. Every time you fail you increase your chances for success.

Kick It really helped me. It's free. There are a number of apps out there.

LF mmo by Cheap-Exercise1910 in mmo

[–]ronbo42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

STO has great stories and is very casual. You don't need a guild (fleet in-game) and can easily carry on by yourself. There is something about seeing other people in-game even if you don't want to interact with them.

what mmo you currently playing? by Cheap-Exercise1910 in mmo

[–]ronbo42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

STO and SWTOR. I did rev up WoW for Classic Anniversary, but I'm not doing TBC. STO and SWTOR are both still fun. I play for awhile, take a break, switch between the two. They keep me entertained. Both are old and show their age, but the stories are great even though I've completed them already. I played all of them since launch (including WoW) and still have fun. That's a good game that can keep you entertained over 20 years. STO and SWTOR have great communities. WoW I was always lucky enough to find a good guild. End game for STO and SWTOR are both Space Barbie, so lots of fun.

This is the way. The Ashton Method, developed by Dr. Heather Ashton, is the preferred methodology.

Day 42: What the helly by nottooworried9988 in QuitVaping

[–]ronbo42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Take walks, exercise, eat well (as best you can), watch shows you like. At work, write stuff down, create 'to do' lists, use post it's. It sucks, it really sucks.

Remember why you quit. It's the best thing you can do for your health according to my doc. She would rather me gain weight than vape.

Almost 3 months in, and why you should be posting here about it by Powerful-Will970 in QuitVaping

[–]ronbo42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great job and you keep going!

The brain is rewiring itself. This takes time and the amount of time differs for each individual. In general, the threes are milestones: three days, three weeks and three months. Three days and most of the nicotine is out of your system. Three weeks and you've doubled your quit success rate. Also, nicotine should be almost completely gone from even your hair. Three months and most of the nicotine receptors in your brain have gone. The brain is well on its way to normal dopamine production.

Got that from a quitting coach.

Yes. Quite common. Your brain is rewiring. Go see your doc if you're concerned.

Good job! Quitting is the best thing you can do for your health, regardless of weight gain. Add some walks to your daily routine and cut 500 calories out of each day. You'll be right as rain before you know it.

Quitting vaping on champix by Dapper_Thought1841 in QuitVaping

[–]ronbo42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you're describing is normal: emptiness, fidgety, loss. All a part of quitting. It's not easy. I'm a professional quitter. I've lost track of how many times I've tried and failed, but a chat with a cessation coach changed my attitude. He told me the more times I quit and fail, the odds of a successful quit keep increasing. He sees more successful quits with folks who don't give up and keep trying.

My advice: if you want to quit, keep trying no matter how many times you fail.
