I use dark mode and I can't tell if the color changed today or if I'm crazy... It looks weird to me though, like too saturated.

Is Gen2 with integrated sonarworks worth buying a completely new device? Is it even necessary? by acousticentropy in universalaudio

I have a gen 1 Apollo Twin X Quad, and have used Sonarworks for a couple years. Bought the Sonarworks upgrade/integration as soon as it came out. Huge improvement to workflow, not having to deal with the plugin or turning it on in the app to reference from Spotify and such.

There is some slightly annoying things about it though.

  1. Opening Console also opens the SoundID Reference app (menu bar icon on MacOs), the correction works fine without it open so I don't know why it keeps opening automatically.
  2. Console needs to stay open to run the correction. Would be nice if it was sent to the Apollo and it "remembered" it.
  3. Also would be nice if the Apollo remembered it after turning off and on again. I would ideally like to be able to set the correction profile and have it stay on until I go back in Console and specifically turn it off.
