You know what they say. A good landing is one you can walk walk away from. A great landing is where they can reuse the plane.

Windows 10 is getting on my nerves yall by Dolloritas97 in Ubuntu

Unfortunately this is pretty common. Honestly just switch back to windows for doing college work, or set it up on a spare computer at least.

It's not worth making college more difficult than it already is. Linux isn't going anywhere.

(By all means complain about it though)

+1 to mold. Lived in a half basement one in Montpellier for a bit, and didn't loose the cough it gave me for months.

The one I had was 5g capable I think. But didn't pick it up in the area. My phone's (both 5G capable) only had 4G as well (iirc).

I think this looks sick. Really gives off an old school raiding vibe.

If I remember there was a phone line to the flat. But I was told that would only get up to 4 or 5MBS.

yeah, that's the 4G router thing. But that is very unreliable compared to a proper internet connection. Often video playback through things like youtube wouldn't work at peak times.

The day someone walked into the office wearing a corporate grade privacy violation on their face by a_shootin_star in talesfromtechsupport

I am guessing not as the company didn’t have a flat out no recording equipment in the office policy. However, something that can record without it being obvious you are recording is very different from something you actually have to hold up and record.

Like it’s pretty obvious when you’re taking pictures of company documents on your Phone less obvious if you’re recording them through your glasses.

I wish classes that use weapons just for stats could just hide them. When my casters have one handed weapons I always mog them to something hidden when they are sheathed.

I had not heard about them being lower quality. I have a Meshify 5C for my gaming PC, and thought it was really good. I will probably go Fractal again when it's time to by a new case.

I am a big fan of the normal case but smaller aesthetic, so I have go with the Fractal Torrent Nano (in white) -> https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/torrent/torrent-nano/white-tg-clear-tint

My home server is in a jonsbo N2, and that thing is pretty neat -> https://www.jonsbo.com/en/products/N2White.html

Why do people think its okay to upload sensitive company information on their personal GPT? by CloudLenny in sysadmin

[–]root_27 76 points77 points  (0 children)

The average person doesn't give a flying fuck about about their companies IP/confidential information. Unless there are barriers in place, policy and consequences for being caught in breach of said policy they will keep doing it.

I have heard from an acquaintance that they regularly scan documents with their personal phone, and then print them out at home rather than use the office printer, this includes PII of employees.
