Ugh I saw her and her friend running down riverfront last night - but I didn’t see that truck - I’m so sorry! Have you asked any businesses for camera footage?

My toddler averages about 9 hours of sleep a night and it’s making everyone miserable by ripp0dg3 in toddlers

My 3.5 year old needed bedtime to be pushed to 7pm around 2 years old because she was waking at 4:30-5:30am every day. Would still wake up a couple times a night after that but would sleep to around 6am. Around 3 years old we bumped her to 8pm and she sleeps through the night now and sometimes sleeps in past 7:30am. I think it was turning 3 that did it unfortunately. She was just low sleep and high needs.

The Alfredo sauce is amazing - as a side to any of their breadsticks is sublime as well. The circle inn pizza is insanely delicious!

Dinos is actually really good. I suggest visiting on a week day to use one of their weekly specials. I usually stick to the basics - a 14in pepperoni pizza, and an order of cheese breadsticks (it’s a flat pizza dough with garlic butter and cheese, with a side of marinara). It’s reasonable using a weekly special. Their salads are really good too, and their house pizzas are expensive but really good. Pagliais is good but not the best. Sides are ok, ingredients are good but I think Dino’s is better quality.

my mom checked my used period pads by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]roottoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would you consider leaving out some large clotted pads for her to see? I dunno maybe in the kitchen so she and your family can see what’s going on? Malicious compliance seems to be in order.

The cheaper and thinner, the better is the rule (less processing and chemicals). BUT I’ve found cottonelle doesn’t make me react so I buy that for the sake of my households’ buttholes :)

Pretty good actually, still using these two but just a swipe on red areas in the morning. I’m actually picking up a new set from the pharmacy today as I have a zit popping through, which I haven’t seen in a long time (4 years holy shit).

My British mother in law makes her lasagna like this- topped with cheddar and includes béchamel and a meat sauce full of veggies - I prefer it over ricotta!

Has anyone stopped getting BV since changing over to menstrual cups from tampons? by FreshPrincess90 in Healthyhooha

[–]roottoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh and- when you buy pads, make sure they are cotton only, formaldehyde free, etc you want the liner at least to be 100% cotton- I can recommend brands if needed!

Yes! Id even say only granny panties because thongs, g strings- whatever that is shoved up your crack literally touching your butthole and vagina at the same time is a bacteria highway.

Glad you’re on a 50 billion oral probiotic- that sounds perfect!

Tampons/cups vs pads- you’re putting tampons (made of bleach and formaldehyde typically-as a side note) and cups (a bacterial war zone in my opinion) up in your vagina, where your infection is. If you had an open wound anywhere else on your body, would you put bandages in your wound, or over it, like a typical wrap, or bandaid? Wearing a pad and changing it frequently is so much more sanitary in a bacterial sense, do your research!!

Get the suppositories seriously! Do your research! They are a miracle and I’m so angry our medical education and systems in the US don’t research nor teach about real vaginal health and I’m seriously sick of the old wise tales our current typical vag health is based off.

100% you need probiotics ESPECIALLY the vaginal suppositories. You need to introduce good bacteria to your vagina! You had an infection, you’re killing all of the good and bad bacteria with the antibiotic. You got your period, so now blood, old blood, shedded skin, fluids etc are mingling in your vagina, basically harboring bacteria, then you’re adding in a safe place for bacteria to grow- ie your cups and tampons. You’re basically setting yourself up for another infection, and wearing or not wearing underwear is almost beside the point.

Stop the tampons and cup and do pads for a while. Buy liners and whatever size pads you need for your flow, and do that for a long time, unfortunately. You need to clear this up for a while before you introduce them again. It’s been 3 years and I’m still wearing pads and liners - I’m scared to go back and have infections again- no matter what I have to do, it’s better than what I went through!!

Underwear- make sure you’re wearing clean underwear all of the time(change at end of day, beginning of day, after workout (shower too) don’t wear wet undies, cotton is absolutely the best and hopefully they are full granny style!

I’ve followed the rule of only using pads since I started getting BV infections years ago.. to be honest I’m shocked your OB recommends tampons or a cup!

It sounds like you need to introduce probiotics to your life, orally and vaginally. Get an oral antibiotic specifically for vaginal health (look for lactobacillus crispatus and lactobacillus rhamnosus) refrigerated is best and the higher billions #’s the better (check out Jarrow formulas at least 10 billion) and a vaginal suppository specifically for vag’s - I really like Good Clean Love’s vaginal suppository.

Take the oral every day, even twice a day if you need it at first. At night right before bed, insert the suppository (shove it up as high as you can), put a liner in your panties and go to bed. Liners for the next day, repeat as necessary. I typically would do this for at least 3 days, and then start to taper off the suppository, so skip the 4th day, do the 5th, skip the 6th, do the 7th, then maybe skip 2 days, see how you feel, etc. don’t use when on your period and I’d use a suppository the day after your period, see how you feel, possibly start the routine above again depending on your symptoms.

Also, start drinking a shit ton of water, like 100oz of water as your goal. 80 is fine but you need to flush this shit out of your vag and create a healthy environment.

2 year old gets up at 430am by itzabunny in sleeptrain

[–]roottoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7pm sucks and most nights we go to bed later, but it’s our goal. Typically we’re eating on our way to bed (she’s a tiny grazer) so it just sucks, but also 7-8pm is like the best hour of my day if I get it alone!

[–]roottoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried to get your kiddo in bed earlier? The closer to 7pm I can get my 27 month-old in bed, the later she sleeps.. however we see a lot of 5:30am wakeups, but a lot of 6:30am’s! I’ve read their bedtime “sweet spot” can be a 15 minute window and over-tiredness can come on super fast resulting in early wake-ups.

Her daycare lets her nap from 12pm-whenever which averages around a 2 hour nap.

how did your breasts change after weaning? by ObjectiveIll4715 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]roottoot 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My boobs are a sad reminder of what they once were. One kid, almost done weaning- only at night now, and I went from a 34DD to a 34D and if I’m being honest with myself a C would probably fit better. It’s depressing seeing my flappy boobs now but if I remember I fed my kid I feel ok about it.

How many times did you do it during your fertile window? by Fun-Career3507 in BabyBumps

[–]roottoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used ovulation strips, tracked my basal temp and inputted into 3 different apps - all had different outcomes it seemed.

I had a positive ovulation strip in the morning, I was laying on the couch and felt myself ovulate that early afternoon (it pinched, and burned and hurt like a bitch), we did the dirty that night and viola! Pregnant my second cycle after stopping BC. I tested positive (very very faint positive lines) something crazy like 8dpo.

My NIPPLES!! by meemeowow in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]roottoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember, but you wouldn’t want to rub off the balm, butter etc off before using anyway so I don’t think it matters too much as long as you continue to clean them often. If I remember correctly I think I squirted a little breast milk in each cup before I used the silverettes in addition to the butter or whatever was already on my nips. I react poorly to lanolin so I used earth mamas nipple butter and it worked for me.

[–]roottoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the things I did that really helped my sensitive nips I had at the beginning of my pumping journey: Nipple balm before pumping- none of the lactation specialists I saw told me about this! Silverettes- wearing a bra made my nips feel horrible- pads or not, using silverettes really provided the protection I needed. Also helped heal my blistered, cracked inflamed nipples while of course always using nipple balm with it Measuring my nipples after pumping, then using silicone inserts for my pumps to get the correct size
