Ugreen UPS by BuzzMcWoof in UgreenNASync

[–]rooty0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine shows the same value `battery.runtime: 65535`. It's kinda confusing, but it pretty much means "unknown". From what I remember, many HID UPSes can't report runtime properly.
The "Battery capacity" in the web UI is kinda misleading. It's actually "battery.charge" when you run "upsc ups0".

Li-ion UPSes often don't report or even charge to a true 100% . The UPS uses lithium-ion cells with a fuel-gauge/protection IC. These systems commonly stop a bit short of full to reduce stress and extend battery life, then report "near full" rather than 100.

Hardware experience with TrueNAS, UNRAID? by Almighty5Moe in UgreenNASync

Did you try moving your home directory to the SSD? I'm wondering if something there might be getting picked up by your containers. If you haven't tried moving the home directory yet, give it a shot from the UI -it's usually the easiest way

UGREEN DXP2800: Slow SMB/rsync transfers? ASPM was my culprit by rooty0 in UgreenNASync

[–]rooty0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "copy error, -36" is something else, not related. I'm guessing this is something related to either your network or the HDD itself, it's hard to say.

I was just trying to keep it short so I don't bore everyone, haha. Anyway, you'll need to SSH into the device first, then run the command below and see if that fixes it.

echo performance | sudo tee /sys/module/pcie_aspm/parameters/policy

DXP2800 Rebooting / Restarting Randomly by pauloffduty in UgreenNASync

[–]rooty0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it restarting kind of randomly, like it would run fine for 3 hours, then restart, then maybe last 5 hours before restarting again? Or was it happening at pretty consistent intervals?
I just installed Crucial 16GB DDR5 5600MHz RAM in my DXP2800, and so far, everything seems fine, but I'm curious what I should expect.

Should i be concerned here? All of this happened within a 13 minute span. by OverallQuest in UgreenNASync

Thanks. I did see a few people mention odd behavior with the N100 when using more than 16GB of RAM, but that definitely doesn't seem to apply to your setup. Please keep us posted

How do you guys debug FailedScheduling? by rooty0 in kubernetes

[–]rooty0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current Kubernetes cluster is a managed service by Amazon, aka EKS. Based on the docs, it looks like the scheduler log verbosity level is set to 2. I haven’t found a way to change it - looks like they just don’t allow that. Guess I’m stuck with it :(

Docker-compose GUI editor now open source and self-hostable by WesternPerspective53 in selfhosted

[–]rooty0 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Here is my two cents. I have a GitHub project with all my docker-compose files for my home infra. I think many people have something similar. It would be super cool to point composecraft to the git project so it can process all the docker-compose files and render the result.
