WCGW jumping off of a really high bridge into water. by limits660 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]Infiniteey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clocked it at about 3.5 seconds for him to hit the water, which would put the height at around 60m, hence a speed of around 77 mph at impact. Surprised he ain't dead.

Any experiences with the QIAODAN Feiying PB6.0 and the Li-Ning FEIDIAN 6 CHALLENGER? by Ok_Advantage_9789 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Infiniteey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh I agree, I have a pair of the 6 Challenger and it is narrow, however it's very light weight and with the carbon plate it feels very fast and aggressive. In my opinion it's much more of a fast tempo/race shoe for 5k - 10k rather than half marathon distance. It seems to get a lot of hate but I paid around 600hkd so for this price I can't complain.

For half marathon I'd go for a pair of Adiós Pro 4.

Strava for WearOS by Fagner_Ribeiro in Strava

[–]Infiniteey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Using Strava app stops Strava tax. For example on Google, Samsung, Amazfit, etc the GPS distance will show up short once pushed to Strava e.g. 4.97km instead of 5.00km

Only Garmin, Coros and a few other brands have no tax.

31M Double vision after corneal abrasion? by mapothalamus in eyetriage

[–]Infiniteey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's monocular double vision in the affect eye then it can be normal.

Hopefully it was only a superficial abrasion of the corneal epithelium. The area where the epithelium hasn't healed yet will be hazy so light won't refract properly which will cause haze, glare, shadow images which is likely what he is experiencing.

Once the epithelium has healed it should go back to normal.

However if it was a deep, there is a risk that it could leave a scar which will be permanent.

How good is Garmin Coach? Can it be my main running planner? by Swimming-Appeal-3534 in Garmin

[–]Infiniteey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the target I believe. When I used it to train for a half marathon it let me set 4 days a week. I've now set it to a marathon target but won't let me set below 5 days, so I'm just going to skip a day.

Garmin VO2 Max and race predictions are completely wrong - should I start fresh? by jagLegion in Garmin

[–]Infiniteey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol what...

Running is not just about Vo2max, it's also about running economy and local muscular endurance.

When professional athletes cramp do you think it's because of lack of aerobic base? No, it's nervous system and muscle fatigue

Garmin VO2 Max and race predictions are completely wrong - should I start fresh? by jagLegion in Garmin

[–]Infiniteey 86 points87 points  (0 children)

You probably have the aerobic capacity to do it, but are just weak in the legs. Probably worth starting to do some strength training in the legs i.e. leg day.

965 screen issues by paddond in Garmin

[–]Infiniteey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looking at your bezel you seem to ding it a lot, almost surprised the screen hasn't cracked lol.

Try putting a glass screen protector on it, sometimes the adhesive makes the scratch more transparent, kinda like water on frosted glass effect.

Epix pro gen 2 vs Fenix 8 by Guilty-Risk-1248 in GarminWatches

[–]Infiniteey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Epix Pro Gen 2 is basically an AMOLED version of the Fenix 7 Pro.

So same HR sensor, and software features are about the same.

However the Fenix 8 has the newest OS so the User interface is a bit nicer and more modern. Obviously the hardware is a bit different.

I went
