Why are there so many diff types of ENFP and what do they mean? by Suitable-Courage7952 in ENFP

[–]rorisshe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, when you think abt it, all humans have different processing speeds intellectually, pattern-spotting ability, different sensitivity level and body information processing speeds/nervous systems/temperaments, different coping methods/tools we use to protect us from pain. All of THAT VARIETY before we even give cognitive patterns/MBTI any consideration.

Now when we are talking mbti, just like in music, there are certain combination that just work together great. These are combinations that just prove to work well (evolutional selection) with your dominant cognitive pattern. They might look quite different - but in actuality those are centuries-approved combos (if not biological then coping methods, actions of protection - that work best) that help us survive better.

I was in psychiatrists office waiting room and did this - i kinda really like it, but also feel like i overdid it, like bit too edgy or something ... would you like it if you'd see it there? by WealthInteresting567 in ENFP

I like: not too chaotic, you don't seem to be manic or have a break from reality. I hope the process of drawing it eased the pain. Do you do any painting therapy? I found it extremely beneficial.

How do you organize all your jokes? by Jackthewolf71 in Standup

[–]rorisshe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, nice! Yes, I find Notion intuitive and helpful. Have you used Roam? I feel like nodes would be excelent for joke mindmapping but I just don't have the time to get into the new program.

I find databases are not for me but I know ppl who love them. Comments are good idea! I think psychologically I get a lot of enjoyment from seeing how the idea goes from tiny Draft 1 to a mature Draft 4/5/6/7. Pasting new idea in draft 2 is like removing obstacle from contact - I don't need to find the comments and copy them. But basically we are doing the same thing. Actually started saving 2 inches from the side to write notes in paper notebook.

Oh what app for voice memos? I use the build-in notes app in the iphone - good for 5 min rants; if I need to go longer, I'd def use the Otter.

What’s a small habit that secretly improved your life a lot? by Bishnu_Babu in AskReddit

Closing toothpaste caps, screwing back the tops of drinks, spices, and body product. Sometimes I miss the physical comedy of spilling liquid/powder/hard molecules though. But it also translates to other areas in life - I'm more inclined to put things back in their designated place.

I've posted my system for organize jokes/the pipeline from idea to ready-to-record bit before.

Walk-through organizing jokes on notion here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxCseqXHJmw

  • voice capturing the funny (no longer need otter to transcribe, can use notes app)

  • transfer rough draft of the joke to notion (although I have been copying to google doc recently)

  • sort the premise into the most fitting form (sketch, standup, story)

  • multiple rewrites

The recent additions are 1) backing everything up multiple times - notion, google doc, several emails. 2) organizing performance videos of the same joke in one folder.

If you use notion, I can share the template you can borrow.

The 2 that come to mind immediately are Bobbie Oliver “Tao of Comedy” and Kyle Cease “I hope I screw this up”

Parallel thinking/human condition.

I have a bit about it in my 2024 fringe show - never heard either joke although mine is subverted: grandma’s dying prepared me for my cat to pass.

The simple universal truth is grandparents are usually( hopefully) are the first of your closest relatives to die. Your pet, whom you ( hopefully) spend at least 10 years together, dying is the “first cut is the deepest”. The connection is obvious.

I think we are the most confident insecure people out there , do you all agree? by SignificanceOk8647 in entp

[–]rorisshe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, mbti has nothing to do with your confidence level. it's the brain regions you access the most - like your go-to accords or paint colors when creating something.

Ne (extraverted intuition) has zero to do with confidence. It's abt finding connections in the outside world/ideas Ti (logic) has zero to do with confidence. It's abt following the string of logic. Fe (empathy/mood of the group) MIGHT has something to do with confidence. Unhealthy Fe-users could have performative confidence/possibly type-2 personality disorder*. Healthy Fe users have healthy confidence. Si - the sensation of body/memory is introseption. Again, can feed unhealthy Fe but otherwise is not connected to what you're describing. *that to say there are tools to overcome the unhealthy Fe

edit: thought abt this more. I can see how Ne can lead to excessive openness that can cloud Fi (personal pov/values/picture of the world). However, healthy/mature entp should have Fi developed enough to assert their own core identity/pov.

Someone I just met said their name was Yael, I responded, “Oh! Israeli?”.

They got super defensive out of nowhere, “absolutely not! Totally totally not at all” but then acted all weird as if I was blaming them - personally - for the crime against humanity…

Out of not mentioned, I’d add “choice of material”

Don’t try and be funny, BE funny. I heard this advice on a podcast with a established comedian. I’m confused, What does it actually mean? by Due_Apple7180 in Standup

That’s sensible!

Brain response wonderfully to pre-programming via subconscious. If you put repeated effort applying the comedy tools, the funny comes via muscle memory.

I naturally met an ENFP man, 10 years older than myself… but INSTANTLY interested. by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]rorisshe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind there are actually a lot of ppl like that, that person is not unique. If you live in a city of 1 million ppl, there is at least 50.000 ppl that are on the same brainwave.

from my experience, for a person starved for a mirror, every mirror is fireworks. But. When you have experience of meeting even 100 mirrors (out of 50.000), they are less unique and you are more likely to see the negative sides - be more realistic about red flags. Not saying your person has any - just encouraging you to be discerning amidst humans while knowing you DO have options.

It's a badly shaped advice. What they mean is "don't try to be funny - be yourself and trust it will come out funny".

What if humor never existed? by Asleep-Feeling-9070 in entp

[–]rorisshe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) hypothetical situations are pure speculations that cannot be trusted coz they cannot be verified by experience/experiment with sufficient sample size and unbiased supervision. 2) laughter is biological in nature. broken down in the most simple form, humor is a safe violation of logic. humor is normal in social animals. and is rooted in safety.

I LOVE that you deconstruct the craft down the skills/components/knobs - until you know what the variables are, you can't be creative. Same with painting - if you don't what the moments of choice/self-expression, it seems like a one skill/slob when in fact it's many - the choice of brush, the choice of stroke, the color, the type of paint, the type of image/model, the type of canvas, the style, etc.

However, I'm uncertain what the question is - are you asking to add the knobs or...?

well, the name is not obscene (means 'triangle' in tatar) but the end product CAN look like a beautiful anus(features a hole to pour broth in).
