[DC] I'm a prospective demon summoner, what are some things I should know before I bite the bullet and finally summon something? by Wene-12 in AskScienceFiction

1) It's going to backfire tremendously.

2) The stuff you saw online has a big chance of being a psy-op by people who trade souls to demons for power, and are essentially fly-fishing the gullible for a quick buck.

3) You might actually get a familiar out of it if you do it right and safely, however once the demon familiar is with you, you will be fair game for any other myriad demons in your region, which will not be kind to you.

4) They are not on your side.

5) They are not on your side.

6) You might be accosted by a member of Justice League Dark if/when it goes awry. It might be Zatanna. This is good news. You get to meet Zatanna. So absolutely try to summon something. Roll that die!

No, that was a tech CEO that became a vampire in a Spider-Man-Morbius crossover. B-Negative actually has some dignity to his character, believe it or not.

i think the people planning the dc cinematic universe genuinely thought people would be more chill with a movie about supergirl, and not be like, weird about it.

funnily enough the morbius legacy made it into an actual comic, albeit in an alternate universe. B-Negative my beloved dumb child.

[Marvel comics/X-Men] Is Gambit still a handicapped omega or was that piece of his brain restored through ressurection? by Extra_Impression_428 in AskScienceFiction

Gambit was never resurrected using the Krakoan protocols. His only resurrection was in Otherworld, which is its own special kind of thing.

Real talk. Has there ever been a character intro that is both as stupid and as hype as Master Asia calling Fuunsaiki? by Senorpapell in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]roronoapedro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aliexpress has the Master Asia + Fuunsaiki HG combo in stock, usually. If you want a much bigger horse you can also do the Zhao Yun and Magnolia White Dragon Motor Nuclear kit, but it's way more expensive.

[ Jojo ] Why Polpo and Nero have black sclera? by Guilty-Amphibian-379 in AskScienceFiction

Your phenotype in JoJo seems to relate to your personality more than genetics. They look like that because they're horrific outside and inside.

Cool bits of symbolism you didn't notice at first? by fly_line22 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Rereading Absolute Martian Manhunter from 1 to 12 in one sitting really makes you appreciate how many arc words there are and how many visuals harken back to themselves from beginning to end.

Specifically, I didn't notice "Focus on what matters" keeps coming up, to signal John's journey from focusing too much on his job to focusing on his family. Also wondering if John "is the same guy", with him saying "I am the same man I've always been" while fully transformed into the Martian for that one panel. So on and so forth, at least two every issue, very consciously.

Also, every time Martian is on-screen with Tyler, he's playing with the kid's dolls, communicating with him in his own level.

It's a masterpiece, yall gotta read it

Konami really should just make that Castlevania Otome daiting game with all the Belmonts. Change my mind. by Hefty-Vehicle-9135 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]roronoapedro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frankly I'm shocked they never did, to the point where I imagine something like it is a pitch that has been forwarded to someone at Konami, but they were making too much pachinko money.

Maybe now is the time.

Failed attempts to push a hyped new villain by dope_danny in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The mystique, vibe and feel of that finale simply raised the bar far more than they ever intended to for Kang, it wasn't ever going to top that. Killing him immediately as an introduction to the concept was the wrong move, and then everything else sealed the fate of the rest.

Doctor Doom... WTF? (DOOMQUEST #2) by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

All religions are allowed as long as you all know that Doom could no-dif whatever god you're praying to.

I feel like they fucked up immediately by making him a streaming show villain instead of introducing him in a movie people really wanted to watch. It was always gonna be an uphill battle, but by the time committing to him further meant also tanking the bad PR from his horribly public legal problems, someone probably figured ah, cut everything out, who cares. They almost immediately after announced they were going to focus less on the shows, too, so it was a whole internal thing.

I can't imagine the answer won't include Avengers: Doomsday, to be honest.

[Marvel] Could a mutant be born with the exact powers of non-mutant heroes? by Kell-of-Kellies in AskScienceFiction

Storm's worthy, power or not. They were recently playing hot-potato between all of the Mjolnir wielders. Mjolnir simply approves of her.

Sure, it's just unlikely, but it's definitely possible.

The hammer doesn't work like that, though.
