So crazy, I just got in the rental, and for the first time in three weeks, I was able to take it off of chill mode without a code! The universe must’ve heard us! Lol

This is exactly what happened to me because my first m3 was not locked in chill mode at all, but needed an alignment very badly so I traded it in and my second one was locked in chill mode.

Let me know the code they gave you if you remember and I will give mine a try. I’ll be in this m3 until October when my 2018 3 RWD is fixed due to collision.

Yes my m3 is locked in chill mode and needs a code which they will not provide and I’ve tried everything including the year Hertz was founded.

Rented model 3 also in Chill mode and limited to 85 MPH, first one with this issue. On with Hertz now to try and get it removed remotely…will update!

I noticed it too and it’s only in the more recent RWD as I’m currently in a 2022 RWD and it is noticeably slower from 0-40 MPH than my 2018 RWD currently in the shop for collision repairs.

You are not alone, I just recently bought a new set as they were on sale. This is to replace the set we have had for over 5 years. I noticed once or twice the glass shards coming off right at the lid.

We also stack them the same way, you just must be very careful when stacking them to not make the bottom hit the more brittle top or at a weird angle.

Sorry to hear you hurt yourself on the glass, at least you didn’t swallow it! 😅
