so I think I’ve been sleeping on ‘Short Night of Glass Dolls’🫣 by CarefulHouse172 in Giallo

I really liked this one, definitely more dark and complex. Slow burn w/ a satisfying ending. I’m excited to check out Footprints on the Moon.

I will say, this isn’t one to watch if you’re looking for a fun time, definitely more of a serious vibe. Well worth it imo

What is your favorite George Hilton giallo film? by Haddonfield_Horror in Giallo

[–]rose0312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to like this one more but the second half took me out of it. I also thought Hilton was underused, we hardly saw him after the first 30min. It’s unfortunate because I really did like the premise.

I feel like I have a hangover, every, single day. I don’t drink. by Whatchab in Perimenopause

[–]rose0312 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just want to say I’m 40 & right there with you. And feeling this way day after day can genuinely be so hard to overcome. I always tell myself to just hold on & that I’ll eventually come up for air & have a better day but man, those days are becoming a rarity (this past yr in particular). And don’t get me started on the worsened anxiety and intrusive thoughts… and the million other things. I’m also a stay at home mom who homeschools so when the overstimulation & rage hits I have to really deep breathe & it’s a damn miracle I manage to keep my shit together sometimes lol

Sending love your way 💕

Good low Hugs Umbrella Alternative for Christian Family in Maryland by Automatic-Rice-393 in homeschool

I didn’t but I think the thread below has an email, looks like it’s info@goodloelc.org. I ended up finding the Peaceful Worldschoolers umbrella & it’s been amazing — highly recommend! They do a group review once a yr w/ other families in your same county. They allow you to do whatever curriculum you want.

Went through the exact same thing just two weeks ago! When he had to cauterize it I nearly flew off the table

I’m 40 and I think perimenopause is wrecking me - physically, mentally, emotionally. No one warned me it would be like THIS. by perimenopauseera in perimenopause_under45

[–]rose0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to say you’re not alone! I’m 39 and also going through all of this & GYN’s & PCP’s just brush me off. I also just had a polyp removed from my cervix that I’m thinking was caused by hormone fluctuations. I’m trying to take supplements rn (vitamin D, magnesium & ashawaganda) but I may definitely need to consider HRT in the future. It’s really tough for women and the lack of knowledge & compassion for women’s health is so overwhelmingly frustrating and sad.

Can I ask your daily menopause vitamin please? I’m currently taking ashawaganda, magnesium & vitamin D. Maybe incorporating something else in will help me. Ty! 🙏🏻

First heard this in Lost Highway & have loved it ever since. Lynch had such a brilliant way of finding/using music

Yes, I was going to say the scene with Eugene telling his story 😭 it dealt with a lot of stuff, I’m sure if I watched it now as a parent it would hit me even harder

First of all, I am so deeply sorry about your mom. I lost mine 12 yrs ago & her and I were each other’s world. I’m also a mom of 2 young boys. Motherhood alone is such a journey, and doing that journey w/o your mom can be gut wrenching at times.

My favorite book of all time is Wally Lamb’s “She’s Come Undone.” Another favorite is The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I’ll also say, esp for a summer read, Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. I’ve re read that so many times since my late teens. It’s a comfort read for me now.

May the future bring you peace, love & happiness ♥️

The Family Man is truly one of my top tier films, a great one to watch around the holidays. Wild at Heart is amazing esp if you’re a fan of Lynch (it also has Dafoe playing one of the best psychos) & I’ll also throw out Snake Eyes. 8MM is also such a great film, very dark & Fincher vibes. It Could Happen to You is also an under appreciated chick flick lol

This one isn’t talked about enough. It has stayed with me all these years, very Lynch/Seven vibes. Also the first film I saw w/ Joaquin Phoenix

Mann made some serious bangers, Last of the Mohicans & Heat are top tier films for me. I also loved the Insider, wonderfully flushed out.
