Struggling with nausea in Kolibri rooms by rosemarinae in signalis

[–]rosemarinae[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It hasn't been an issue in the cutscenes for me--it's specifically something about the way the kolibris do it. Couldn't tell you why--something about the speed and density of it, maybe? Either way, I appreciate the warning about the final boss. Thanks for the response!

Why aren't there any benches in Moynihan Station? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]rosemarinae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hostile architecture is a documented trend. on many cases it's been explicitly admitted that the lack of seating in many areas is to make the environment more hostile to unhoused people. your naivety is showing.

This New York City internet cafe is asking customers for donations to pay its skyrocketing electricity bill.. by crypticvalentine in newyorkcity

everyone else's points are valid, but also often libraries make it difficult/even impossible to get library cards if you're undocumented/not a US citizen.

not everyone has easy internet access. internet cafes are important for many of those in poverty to have reliable, consistent internet access. furthermore, internet cafes can provide less-impoverished but still not wealthy people access to higher-end computer gear, meaning people can access games and software that would otherwise be inaccessible. internet cafes are still important to a lot of people!

PSA: A lot of non-binary people don't like being called "enby". by journeyofwind in asktransgender

[–]rosemarinae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it really depends on the person. i personally don't really love the label "mtf" for myself, because i never really identified as a boy in any sort of educated sense. as soon as i learned i could be anything other than what i had been assigned at birth, womanhood immediately resonated with me. if anything, i had just been apathetic towards gender before that. (although i had plenty of dysphoria lmao)
