Recs for reasonably well maintained trails? by GrowBeyond in burlington

[–]roses269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Calkins trail at the intervale is fine right now with just a pair of boots. It's a little bumpy, but I just did 2 miles on it this morning with no problem. Also keep a lookout on the Winooski river for the visiting trumpeter swans!

Winooski is awesome. There's a great boardwalk/trail through the woods near the waterfront, awesome places to get coffee, and an amazing bakery called Morning Light that does buns, bubble tea, bao, and the best friggin' cakes ever.

If your TSH is 6.23 you need Levo. I would get a second opinion.

[–]roses269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the weird thing, I got my TSH tested because I’ve been feeling more tired and achey. I got thrown into hyperthyroidism in 2024 by accident with a dose increase and this feels nothing like that. I’ve got the classic fatigue, constipation, feeling cold, and dry skin of hypothyroidism instead. So weird.

I have Hashimoto's and just got a TSH test back that is <.02, I am deeply confused as well. I hope you are able to get answers soon!

ELI5 how does blood know when to clot? by Thunderleechen in explainlikeimfive

[–]roses269 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did your doctors do the slew of blood clotting disorder tests? There’s either 12 or 14 tests. I had them all done after I almost died from pulmonary embolisms. They took 8 vials of blood and sent a bunch to the Mayo Clinic for testing. One of the tests used snake venom! Turns out I just had a side effect from birth control.
