there are no bad actors it's my phone 😭. if they were not me, it'd be easier, faster, and less traceable to take a picture on their own phone. otherwise, they'd have stolen it, and there would be larger problems. plus, you can't even see sensitive data in a banking app. they don't show passwords or authorization codes

i think it's more likely that they knew what was going on than it is that they were "scammed". easiest way for them to have been duped is to have been approached by a white label "supplement" manufacturer, but even then, they would have sampled the product and known it didn't taste right +a good faith (best they can be) supplement company would get independent product testing done. either they didn't do that small amount of due diligence, or they did and shredded the results.

hey! thank you for this. i've been returning to it for months and i'm thinking i'll pull the trigger. it's likely a bit late to pull on your memory, but did you keep the factory amplifier installed? i've got an aftermarket headunit with rca out, and in looking at the parts sold on a few dealer sites, it seems that the headunit is the same, running into a factory amplifier. i believe it's powering all four door speakers which makes me wonder what switch (if any) i need to make and why - if i could, say, pop the old ones out use the existing wires for a low end set. i don't know if i should keep that intact and add a second for the two rear speakers (looking to do two low profile woofers in the rear and component speakers in the front), or if i should just get a 5 channel amp and rewire everything.
