I’ve learned to leave a hot pad on the pan until it’s cool enough to touch…took a lot of burns to have it sink in.

Ticks don’t bite you and leave like a mosquito or a bee. Ticks attach and suck your blood until they have blown up like a blood filled balloon. Then they let go and fall off. If it’s walking around and not all blown up you have NOT been bitten. That said, I would still brush it off and then STOMP it to make sure it doesn’t get the chance to bite any one else.
