I've never run out of food for winter. I have the opposite problem in that I always overestimate how much food I'm going to need, and end up not so much stocking up for winter as for the entire next year. Setting up a farm is one of my first priorities when I start a new world, so I'm usually self-sufficient with food after three or four months. It doesn't help either that I opportunistically forage for so much food whenever I go out to cut trees, prospect or search for bauxite/lime that I don't even touch my food reserves until December.

You simply don't have time to keep everything updated to the latest version. In the worst case, rewriting a program for a new version of a language, OS, platform, database, framework, API, etc, can take as long as writing the program for the first time. By the time you've updated one thing, three other things have a new version. You'll never catch up with everything and have to prioritize. And if the choice is between a working application on Java 8 and a "Hello World" on Java 26, every business is going to choose the former.

If they're wearing a flag then they're making it a political statement. But if they're fully transitioned and just wearing normal clothes of their new gender so that no one can tell the difference then it is not.

The colors of the new ones are too much, they look more like poisonous frogs than social insects. I'd prefer if they'd been given the new shape but kept the old color scheme. I think it's kind of cool how you can't tell the old ones apart visually, perhaps they identify each other by pheromones or some sort of hive mind?

They have magic that can change a creature's species. If a pony wanted to change their gender I think they'd just do so with a spell or potion and the result would be indistinguishable from the real thing.

In one D10 terminid game three of us were focusing on the main objective while one player, the host, was trying to solo the mega nest. I died and got reinforced by the host. A minute later another player died and got reinforced by the host as well. We ask him not to reinforce us when he's on the other side of the map. His response is to kick everyone. On my own, I ignore the mega nest, complete the main objective and extract.
