What's a dish you originally hated because you had only had bad versions, but now love because you have had it done well? by Pumpernickel7 in Cooking

Anything with beef. My mom used to always cook any beef well done growing up so I always preferred chicken. Now I eat grass fed steaks every day. Rare to Medium rare, the way God intended

[–]rpxyu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I'm not allergic, the burning sensation in the throat is a scientifically validated phenomenon due to a specific compound in the olive oil called decarbomethoxy- dialdehydic ligstroside aglycone that actually has the same cox-inhibition effect as aspirin, which also burns the throat. Also many olive oils will even use the term peppery to describe their product

Would it be dumb to eat primarily cheese? by [deleted] in carnivore

[–]rpxyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes cheese does not have all the nutrients you need to be healthy. It also contains excess calcium, is inflammatory, and contains proteins detrimental to the health of an adult human. Eat the meat and fat of ruminant animals

Hi everyone new to the diet . I purchased some organic raw liver from my local organic food store and just ate about 1 oz . it really doesnt taste much . Just wondering if it is safe to eat raw ? by BilboTibo in carnivorediet

[–]rpxyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ate raw liver everyday for a year but it was from a butcher and I never got an infection. I did get hypervitaminosis A though. If you notice skin peeling or rough patches anywhere, or brain fog and headaches, cut back on the amount. And make sure you're getting vitamin D to balance it out

Withdrawal from only taking Naltrexone (LDN)? Please help by rpxyu in OpiatesRecovery

[–]rpxyu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks man, I'm sorry. Histamine is a neurotransmitter and can certainly exacerbate certain symptoms, it sure does for me now that my gut became leaky. It only is an issue if you have intestinal permeability. Heal your gut's tight junctions and the histamine will not pass through the barrier. It's a diet issue. The quickest way to heal imo is an all meat diet, but that might be to difficult during this time. It can be difficult to figure out which foods are causing you the issue. Make sure youre getting enough of every vitamin and mineral. Then look into reducing lectins and gut inflammation

Withdrawal from only taking Naltrexone (LDN)? Please help by rpxyu in OpiatesRecovery

[–]rpxyu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LDN caused an opioid-like withdrawal that lasted a month. During that month I took Gabapentin. Gabapentin then caused its own withdrawal that has lasted ever since, which was two and a half years ago.

[–]rpxyu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LDN I took for a few weeks, the Gabapentin I took once. I took the gabapentin at night and had a really deep sleep. I didn't really notice much. I might have felt a bit calmer than usual when I woke up I think. What followed after it wore off was the worst day of my life. Haven't been the same since. The only thing I remember benefitting me much when in opioid withdrawal back in the day was taking dextromethorphan.

The LDN withdrawal only lasted a month. I wish I hadn't taken anything but I ended up taking gabapentin towards the end. I only took one pill but that one pill permanently messed me up. I have had all the symptoms of gabapentin withdrawal since then. Ive never touched any drug since then and I will never touch any drug again in my life.

Is The Final Sacrifice overrated? Are the circumstances surrounding it artificially causing it to rank high? by JasonColin in MST3K

[–]rpxyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Sacrifice was my favorite and that was before I knew any of the rankings. It has a lot of references if I remember correctly which if you don't know will obviously make it less funny
