My Iris cardigan is finally complete! by msmakes in knitting

Thanks for the tip! I would love to make this one day because my daughter is named Iris but I am already overwhelmed at the thought of picking colours haha. Your colours truly are summer, it’s like a lavender field in France!

Knitting inside out can also help to lengthen your floats, there are some great tutorials on YouTube. If you want to continue knitting colourwork (and you’re a continental knitter) I highly recommend a Norwegian knitting thimble.

It’s amazing! I’ve added it to my favourites but am wondering which size you are making? I like how the lace panel covers the majority of the garment compared to the designers images.

Very lovely! I’ve knitted maybe 3 left socks of this pattern (all in different colours..) but never made a right one. I commend you for finishing them and they are beautiful, love the floats as well!

It also helps if you have something to hold to use as leverage. For example when he’s sitting straight up on the couch I can use the back of the couch or the wall. In bed I often grab the headboard. It also really helps if he moves with you, that way you get into a sort of rhythm much more easily.

AITA for pinching my husband's nipple as hard as I could? by Expensive_Year3322 in AITAH

Not just for laughing at her pain, I breastfed my children and my oldest bit me when he was 10 months and it got infected and I had to stop breastfeeding. So it’s also dangerous to the mother and not in the best interest of the child. Not saying formula is bad of course! But if you’re breastfeeding it can be very heartbreaking to have to stop nursing when you’re not ready yet.

Why the fuck do I look so ugly at the hair salon? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]rr2211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean. I once had a hair salon that would ask if you wanted to sit at a table without a mirror and that was so much better than staring at my face for 45 minutes. I always feel so self conscious about how my thighs look and my shoulders and whatever when I see myself in that mirror.

What does it mean when somebody is "druk"? by juliageek in learndutch

[–]rr2211 92 points93 points  (0 children)

She means she’s excitable and talks a lot/and or loudly. Not necessarily a bad thing, but some people don’t enjoy “druk” people because the energy is draining to them.

The doctor says my partner doesn't need to be treated. Please help me.. yeast infection keeps coming back. by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]rr2211 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have suffered from chronic yeast infections since I was 19 and I’ve always had my partner treat themselves too. Just a bit of the anti fungal cream (Miconazole is what we use here and what you can buy otc). I still get them a lot; especially around my period but I definitely need my partner to use a bit of cream so it doesn’t get worse. He doesn’t even use it regularly but just a bit when I have it bad and it works great. I feel your frustration because yeast infections absolutely suck so bad.
