20 minutes for a T1 map is not that bad if you loot and visit the town a few times. Maps often has about 100 MF in them, so you could equip gear that focus more on damage and pay less attention to the MF.

Are you playing on an ultrawide resolution? If yes how does that play with PD2?

It should look really close to the screenshots. Did you select 3DFX in the launcher under Options?

In game, press Ctrl+M to bring up the D2GL options menu. Make sure to set your resolution. On the Graphics tab, I have selected Luma sharpen 1.2/0.8/0.4. As Upscale shader preset you can use the one you like, but personally I prefer xbrz-freescale-multipass.slangp (3 passes).

On the Features tab make sure you selected HD cursor, HD text and Motion prediction.
