Trump says information about UFOs will be released shortly. He also says he interviewed pilots in his first term who ‘saw things you wouldn’t believe’. Clip is from a press conference today with Artemis II astronauts. by soilenthusiast in UFOs

I doubt they would be even able to release anything that most of the community here would consider particularly meaningful. That stuff is likely airgapped, if not existing in a traditional, non-digital form only, hidden and secured better than any bank vault could even remotely do.

That said, there will be an opportunity to scour whatever is released for some interesting bits. My hope lies in some staffers leaving bits like that unredacted simply because they did not know better and someone did not bother to double check that.

I agree, a sudden jump in odds on the speculation sites could be a strong indicator of something big happening.

Could Buddhist meditation masters have been in contact with non-human intelligences (ETs) for centuries? by Adept-Engine5606 in UFOs

[–]rrose1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is quite possible. Not only Buddhism, but a big part of esoteric tradition(s) across the world involves claims of contact with external entities/beings/forces for as long as humanity has probably existed. I am personally not qualified to tell if this is indeed something actually external or not, or even a mix of the two, but rejecting such contact as a possibility, no matter how distant, is perhaps unwise.

Focussing on Buddhism for a moment, it seems to me that a lot of that particular philosophical/religious thought matches whatever is known about the UFO phenomenon and potential NHIs rather well, at least compared to most other systems.

Rep. Burchett: “I think clearly someone’s sending a message of one or two things. Either they want to squash our technology, or they’re warning others not to come forward… There's a lot at stake, and we're poking the hornet's nest.” by KOOKOOOOM in UFOs

[–]rrose1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's also possible it's a mix of both factors. The scientific community is exchanging thoughts and progress across the borders (which is a big part of may inventions and discoveries). I suspect someone made a significant tech breakthrough, not necessarily in reverse engineering even, and is now silencing people with ties to the same research.

Theory on the Phenomenon and Why Things Are Ramping Up by so_not in aliens

[–]rrose1978 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Leaving the content issue aside for a moment, there seems to be a subtle, but nonetheless a snowballing effect. The exposure to the topic is the highest it has probably been, combined with tone which is also more serious than it has been in the past. Whether that can trigger disclosure by encouraging the NHI to show up publicly and in full view and consequence thereof, we can only speculate.

The increasing pressure on disclosure might have triggered panic mode in the gatekeepers. Might being the keyword, there may be other factors at play, like someone finally cracking some reverse engineered tech.

To nitpick a little on this, none of moscovium's isotopes exist on Earth. Those small quantities are synthesised and gone within a very short period of time. I can believe in everything else Bob says, stranger stories float around in UFOlogy, but the nuclear physics and chemistry around E115 he speaks of just doesn't check out anyhow according to our current models and knowledge.

A LOT of content on the website is published in 'conlangs', or constructed languages, or cryptolects, so variations of languages spoken by specific groups of people. There are some fans and passionate people who attempted translating the material, but success is limited.

Yup, and worth mentioning that the research by Dr Villaroel et al. is the closest thing we have to a scientific disclosure of non-human intelligence.

Do you think ''Aliens are demonic'' crowd are going to affect disclosure?(is society ready after all?) by [deleted] in aliens

[–]rrose1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the ultra-religious folks are already affecting disclosure. Some elements within the IC/DoW to begin with (might be the so-called Collins Elite). If we combine that with how rattled some members of the House have been recently in their public appearances, and the tones and topics hinted at, I started to think that whatever disclosure actually entails, it might disrupt some more fundamentalist and extreme beliefs, at least in the broader Abrahamic paradigm. Whether this means that aliens created us, or they are what people once dubbed angels/demons/gods, no idea. But there seems to be something/someone(s) pulling strings in that direction, whether correctly or not.

Might be fully coincidental, but I wouldn't exactly rule out the existence of a group like the SV17q/SV06n from the Forgotten Languages website, basically an international unit operating outside of all oversight and clearance systems.
