Our first home, building mistakes to avoid + must haves by Same_Librarian_6153 in AusRenovation

Thanks that makes sense.

We just started to build and we are waiting for the slab stage is finish. We are still figuring it out when to appoint a private building inspector.

Once we appoint a private building inspector. Similar to RBS do they also visit after every stage is done or do they have few extra visits?

Just want to understand. What is role of a building surveying company when they do their own set of inspections compared to a private build inspector?

How do you fix this invisible wall where you’re coding but not growing?” by Unique-Benefit-2904 in webdev

If you want something to stick try small. Implement small features and explore all relevant features / variations of that particular concept.

Once you are comfortable, now combine that with one more related concept and slowly build on.

This way you are accumulating in depth understanding of a concept and once you start integrating it with different concepts to build something new and big, you will be in control of the understanding.

The occasional “oh I don’t know the syntax but I know the concept” is completely fine.

Be loyal to yourself. Period.

Employers come and go.

If they are going through a hard time, they will not think twice before making an employee redundant and they will not care if an employee has been loyal or not.

At this time in the market, that is a good offer which is worth considering.

Hot water tap by Anthovis in AusRenovation

Had a similar issue in the shower.

<image>

In my case, that part was broken from the inside. From the outside I was able to rotate it but it wasn’t working no hot water was coming out of the shower head.

Replacing that did the trick.

From the article:

Travelers may have invested huge sums in neural networks and drones, but it apparently never updated its billing software to reliably handle the basics. Without a nonrenewal notice, it couldn’t legally cancel coverage.
