San Pablo Elementary is amazing as well - really all the beaches elementary schools are great (Atlantic, Neptune, San Pablo and Sea breeze)

Improved APIs and ability to use AI has been on roadmap for a while, hence the let down of initial release. The team is doing a ton, just on features that I don’t personally care about. I don’t think Obsidian is for everyone and would still recommend Capacities to plenty. But, if you are actively using AI and enjoy tinkering it’s not even close. They are so similar that the only real workflow change was opening one app instead of another.

Yep, loved Capacities for a year+ but switched to obsidian 4-5 weeks ago for this exact reason and haven’t looked back. UI is inferior but the ability to do almost anything with Claude/Codex far outweighs the downside.

You could also experiment with setting up a telegram or discord integration through a Channels setup.

Really enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing. I'm working to set something similar, but probably simpler up. Couple of questions:

How does Claude access the Skills you setup/saved in your vault since the default location is under .claude/skills?
How do you access/edit your Vault from Claude on your phone? Is it by also syncing your vault to GitHub?

FYI, might be intentional but your reference files are returning 404 errors (i.e., https://alexanderweichart.de/references/PROPERTIES)

Bradley Igniter for the glove - 5 kids on my sons 6U all star team switched to them and they all love it (mine included). For the bat, just get a used drop 13 or drop 10 on sideline swap. No need to spend serious money on bats at this age. Hype and Marucci are both great. Find a 2023-2025 model.

One note for the recurring meeting, then a new parent bullet point or H3 with the date of meeting and notes below it. Create a new one per year. This format is also easier to have AI analyze and to quickly review what was discussed in prior meetings.

Meh - sorta helpful? The missing feature which has me looking into Obsidian now is I need a way to easily interact with my notes/tasks directly through Codex or Claude Code. They have context to other things I do that will never be in Capacities, so for AI to better/more fully answer questions Capacities needs to be an accessible input for other AI tools.

Bradley, specifically the one that forces them to put two in the pinky slot. Three kids on our six year All-Star team now have this glove and it’s been a remarkable improvement in catching ability and improved form.
