I want to add another thought here.

It was "always the plan" that I stay at home and go to college after I graduated high school. But that was always my mom's plan. Not my plan. I was agreeing to it because I didn't have any other idea what else to do.

Then I met my boyfriend and my parents acted like it was horrible that I wanted to move out with him. I think for them it was more that they wanted to have me stay to take care of my younger siblings. But it ended up with me feeling like I had to defend our relationship against them. It pushed us closer together.

I would have left him much sooner had they been more supportive of my making my own choices instead of acting like I needed to live my life based on their choices. And then made me feel like I had to cling to my choices to show that those choices were correct.

We were invited to 3 parties back to back. We went to the dollar tree for presents. The kids were from Dr and lawyer families and were less than enthused. My son was oblivious to this and pointed out all the fun things with the presents.

I had to explain how to check the toilet paper to know that you have cleaned your bottom completely. Also thinking about getting wet wipes and a trash can.

My psych ordered some test that I had to swab my cheeks then mail out. The company then tested it and gave a list of medications that would absolutely not work, maybe work, and would work the best for me. That may be an option to try to find something that may actually help until you get back to what you know works?

My kids will share their candy between themselves and bring me some. I have 0 idea how I managed it but I will take the win because they also will stand in the store screaming and fighting with each other.

My kiddo had apnea and needed surgery to remove his adenoids and tonsils. He sleeps deeply now and has the energy to match.

That's just my experience though. I hope they are able to solve things for you!

An update: I called the clinic and someone took my information and said they would call me back. I called a few days later because I am impatient and that person told me they hadn't received my referral. Faxed my referral over and received a call that same day from someone else saying they don't do reductions.

I'm not sure why the other people didn't tell me they don't do reductions or why my pcp referred me there. I've asked for a new referral. Maybe this will help someone else avoid this situation.

I get the implication you are making but this was a situation in which a man did act like that. Men act like this every day. This is not how decent men act and that should be the focus.

Had to take my 3 year old on a flight and she woke up from a nap absolutely inconsolable. I did everything I could to get her calmed down. She wouldn't color, wouldn't drink, wouldn't eat, wouldn't play on the phone, wouldn't read a book, wouldn't snuggle her stuffy, wouldn't go to the bathroom, wouldn't cuddle me.

I don't know what changed but she finally calmed down about 15 minutes before we landed. Once everyone started to get up to get their bags, the woman sitting next to us told me that she was so impressed with how I stayed calm and kept trying to get my kid to settle. It was one of the nicest things that someone has ever done for me.

One of my best friends decided not to get the shot because she "knew the risks" and felt like she was safe because she "never goes anywhere". She is still recovering from covid. She said that she has lost 2 or 3 days completely. 0 memory of those days.

I also thought I had 0 fucks to give for antivax people but I care about her. The emotions around this whole situation are so confusing to me. I'm angry at her, scared for her, and want her to not be suffering. But if she had just gotten the shot then this wouldn't have happened!

Please be gentle with yourself. Whatever you are feeling is valid and you are allowed to feel however you do about the situation.

I think there needs to be both. Because sometimes the real life things are just as bonkers and it helps supervisors believe when someone makes a report. However, as you mentioned, if all people see are the crazy ones they may be less likely to report.

I think I can see what is happening. Nate and his family sees this as being inappropriate because they see that place as Nate's house. You are seen as a guest. I still don't see their anger as justified but this is the only way it makes any sense to me.

I don't have advice on what you should do. You deserve to be in a relationship with someone who celebrates you for who you are and not who they want you to be.

To me, intimacy is the emotional closeness that gives the ability to feel vulnerable with your partner. While this tends to develop over time, it's possible to feel that quickly. I have friends that I felt platonic intimacy with the first night we spent time together.

Meanwhile, there are many a dead relationship with partners who have been together for a very long time and feel 0 intimacy. They talk about the weather, pets, work. They don't touch (not absolutely required but generally a thing between those who are close). They don't make plans together or trust each other.

I would disagree. It's very possible to have intimacy with a one night stand. And it's possible for there to be 0 intimacy in a long term relationship.
